 'morning everyone, my you are all up nice and early!
I've been busy doing some change of addresses ready for our move at the weekend. The TV License is now sorted, courtesy of the change of address facility online. What would we do without the web?
Last night we started packing our bedroom and will finish off tonight. The kitchen is the most daunting as I now have so many OS gadgets (breadmaker, slow cooker, steamer etc) and pots (from car boots) that we'll probably run out of boxes! I've refused to give anything up!
Computer is going to be the last thing packed. Well I can't do without MSexpert can I?Enjoying an MSE OS life0 -
Morning all!
Ive gotta go to work again, im looking forward to thursday (training course for two days at head office so I dont have to actually work!) and for some strange reason kept waking up last night. Im thinking its stress. Did some more address changes too, but - applemint - if you used iammoving.com - double check everything gets done, I used it and out of all the ones I selected only my blood donor thing got changed! I ended up writing to them all seperately anyway....
Tonight I have more mince to use up so I think I might do burgers again, I need to make quick and simple meals in the week so that I can cook all weekend - speaking of which, I have freinds coming down this week so I need to go shopping later this week.
Hope you all have a lovely day, id better go brave the world again....

Good morning everyone :hello:
I've just finished making everyone's packed lunches - tuna rolls all round (got them reduced at Tesco yesterday - 30p for 6!!)
I've a load in the TD (weather's not too great today, and another in the WM)
As I work I'm not really OS during the day, but fortunately I finish at 3pm so I can pick DD up from school and make "proper" meals for tea! Tonight we'll be having HM spag bol and garlic bread. DD's not too keen on veg like courgettes, mushrooms and tomatoes, so I take her portion out and give it a quick whizz in the blender - she loves it - and I know she's eating her greens!!
I really must tackle a pile of ironing tonight - as I've now got to iron DD's school uniform and my outfit for work!!
Anyway I'm off to have a quick :coffee: , bath and get ready for school run and cycle off to work (in the rain!!) Oh well, another day, another dollar - so they say!!
Take care everyone!Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)0 -
Morning People,
Another rainy day here, and I've got loads of washing to do, oh well. Looks like it will all be strung up in the bathroom again
Up most of the night with youngest DD as she is teething, what fun. Am knackered today though. Packing a few more boxes ready for the move, its not till dec but I like to be prepared, didn't realise how much stuff we had. The charity shop has been getting lots from us lately.
Going to make a couple of shepards pies today, 1 for dinner and 1 for freezer. I'm a veggie so hate making them but the kids eat them so its well worth the effort.
Hope the rest of you arent as sleep deprived! Have a nice day all.

Hoping to have a more productive day today. I've got a couple of errands to run for the OH and need to give the house a quick tidy up.

Morning all
Suffering from a horrible head cold - kept waking up last night so feeling shattered. DD1 is off from school with it too.
Going to shove some brasing steak in the slow cooker in a bit and that's dinner sorted, lunch will be what ever we fancy in the fridge and apart from that a day on the sofa under a duvet seems to be the order of the day."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
Morning all,
Just got back from school run. Wet weather in London today so will prob dry in the tumble dryer today. Poor DS1 had to wear yesterdays school trousers (with yoghurt stain) today cos I hadn't washed his other pair *slap wrist*. I'm all for making them re-wear their clothes if they're not dirty but kinda felt sorry for him today - lol!! Don't think anyone would really notice actually.
For lunch I shall be partaking of some delish prawn curry from last night..
For dinner - who knows??Mortgage-free wannabe!0 -
DD was up last night around 9pm because "spooky noises" woke her up. After spending an hour laying in our bed with her we finally worked out what the noise was - the TV and I'd be watching Most Haunted at the time so it must have been all the screaming on it
Finally managed to get her back into her own bed and settled around 11pm after letting her tell her worries to my worry dolls (Thanks Johanne - they're great
:j ) while I "covered" my ears so I couldn't hear
Apparently she's worried about spooky noises, not being able to sleep, thunder and lightening, mummy and daddy getting grumpy and something else which she whispered so quietly I couldn't hear it
Poor little girl was worn out from her first full day in school so this morning she's even more tired. She might just get her own tea and an early bed tonight I think.
Beds are made, DD is at school, washing thats on maidens is sorted out and another load of 3 double sheets are being freshened up in the washing machine as I type (they've been stored so a bit whiffy but not dirty). I've one ebay parcel to post and I want to carry on with decluttering in the masterbedroom today. Yesterday I had a sort out of the Christmas Decorations box - managed to get it from a large microwave box and nappy box into 2 nappy boxes which now fit on the shelf properlyAll I did was throw out the broken items and repacked a nativity set that was in a huge shoe box but is now in a much smaller gift box. I've also sorted out our craft boxes and managed to get them down to 2 cases plus clothing/apron but I still have another 2 boxes of miscellaneous stuff to sort before I even start on the chest of drawers :rolleyes::o
Oh well, off to do some dishes.Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
I love hearing what everyone else gets up to...
I have 3rd load in washing machine, first in tumbler 2nd waiting to go in! Went to infant school for 8.20 as joint photo session this morning and they are usually good and given as Christmas presents! Walkied up to junior school then back to car and home. Waiting for 'fire man' to come and give quote for new gas fire as old one always breaking and we so need it in the cold winter! Back to infants for 11.45 as volunteered to help with dinner duty. Then off to supermarket for a shop, baack home to unpack it. Back at infants for 3.00pm then walk to juniors then home for kids tea with 2 friends. Then it will be baths, homework and bed (tho not in that order!) took adults tea then drive back up (maybe walk if not raining) to near school for PTA meeting!!!
This is my first supposed day off since son went full time in reception and it is going fast!!
Have good days everyone and see you all later! x x x0
