  • Morning All :hello:

Hope you are all well. Got abit more sleep last night-drug induced but worth it :D Weather isnt helping me at the moment.

3 washloads to do today, no blitz as cleaner coming-shes doing an extra hour. OH called her last night and was honest with her (not rude) and said that there were a few jobs that hadnt been done. She was execellent and said for me to list it all out and stating what products I would like her to use etc. Looking at what i put down for her to do last week-she did do except the 2 wooden blinds, but i put wiped and she used a damp cloth with flash-when I meant polish and duster. Told OH to stop being silly-she doesnt want to come away and me feel like ive wasted my money. Also said that Im her boss and to tell me straight  It will make it easier for me now anyway and will be able to say-can you do that this way for me etc. Got me list all sorted too.

New huge freezer coming today :D 12cubic feet  It worked out cheaper, than the middle sized one. I am going to start freezing everything  Main things I want to try and freeze are: milk, cheese, ham, yogurts which I normally have to buy weekly. I would love to start having a shop delivered every 4 weeks and use the £15 voucher from Asda on a £100 shop-which if it was 4 weekly could do no problem  I have quite abit of food already in my old one so will not do an order for another 2-3 weeks and work out a meal plan. I have a normal sized freezer in kitchen that is match set with my fridge then the other one in the shed. Theres only the 3 of us-hope it will be cost effective for us-if not I will get rid of one in kitchen and have get another cupboard there. Butchers down the road have any 3 joints for a tenner (lamb, beef, chickem, pork)also trays of minted chops, all other chops, beef, chicken etc for £5 each or 3 trays for £12.00.

Did my online shop yesterday for next week. Had a £10 voucher for a £50 spend :p and they had made a mistake with there frozen chicken. 1.9kg chicken for £1.00-normally £2.99-so I have grabbed 5. I know there not organic/free range but at £1 each I dont care..lol. If they taste that bad-the dog will have food for a few weeks  Had cheapie chickens before and some are quite tasty :o .

Had the newsletter from Martin last night and used the link for my 02 simcard, registered (took 1 min) and had £2.50 credited to my phone. I only use for texts, so this will last me a while :money: Also in the letter it spoke about life insurance. OH needs this, so am going to sign up with Tescos (£11.90 a month) then call them in next 7 days and say I have been offered the same cover for less. They then give you 1000 clubcard points as an apology-then I will cancel within the 30day cooling off period and go with one of several other companies that are cheaper. Worse case is that I pay £11.90 for the month but at least he's covered and the cheapest I can find is £11.05-so would have only lost £0.85 plus had 1000 clubcard points which is equivalent I think to £40 on some deals  Thanks Martin!!

Going to sort out DD's fitted wardrobe today as its a right mess. She is having one of our wooden wardrobes and she wants it painted white-does anyone know how we do this???

Lunch today is jacket spud & curry. Dinner is (dd)chicken nuggets(us)chicken pie with roasties and carrots.

    Catch up later.
    Love to all

    Penny-PIncher!!

  • morning everyone. morning again penny glad you slept better last night. I havent been to sleep yet I have ibs and have been having a bad attack tonight/last night. Got a doctor appointment today at half nine for something else so not much point sleeping now I'll have a nap later.
  • Sorry to hear about your IBS sparklewing, must be horrible for you.

Well have been up sincew 03.45 as the DD who's 2 decided that was time to get up. It's very unusual for her as normally she's such a good sleeper.
So she's had her breakfast, and I've changed all The bed linen, put the first washload of the day on and the BM is currently whirring away making a loaf.
We're having beef in beer for dinner tonight cooked in the slow cooker, so when I can face chopping onions I shall go and get that going.

After mislaying the debit cards yesterday, I didn't get to go to Lidls, so I shall be there this morning for opening time!

Off now to get on with my extended day, have a good one everyone

OH has just headed off to Great Yarmouth to pick up our new-to-us car from a friend *grin* I'm going to clear out our current car this morning while DD is at school. Speaking of which I can hear running water in the bathroom....

  • Morning everyone

My turn to have a bad night, last night :) I was knackered at 8.30 but by the time I finished inputting a mystery shopping job and checking on here of course, I was wide awake so couldn't get to sleep. Then woke at 2.10  Also, sore throat has gone :j: but has been replaced by a hacking cough. I do know I have lots of cough medicine courtesy of mystery shopping jobs last winter though :D Still feeling quite chipper though (it's about time we resurrected some of these long forgotten words, I reckon :D)

Today - have to get DS1's lunch ready and him off to school. DS2 is going to speech therapy at 10 so will pop into town afterwards and pick up a ring I was having resized and get some fresh veggies/fruit from market. Then it's pre-school this afternoon so a couple of hours to get on with some jobs in the house.

Had pasta last night so it's sausages for tea tonight. DS1's friend is coming for tea and he doesn't eat anything in sauce/gravy so it's plain grilled saus and maybe chips and beans. Haven't had chips for ages

OK, off to make pack-up now. Have a great day everyone

  • Hi Penny Pincher, I may be wrong but I'm pretty sure that you can't freeze yogurt, you might be better making your own, you could buy all the UHT milk that you need monthly from ADSA
