20Kg doesnt touch it, I usually have between 30-38kgs of luggage, I usually work on the premise of 3 outfits a day, and 9 times out of ten, by flirting like mad at check-in, I dont usually pay extra.
This is a joke ... isn't it?
Seven nights for me means three bottoms, five light tops and two warmer tops (depending on location!). At a push I will take two pairs of shoes, but usually it will just be one. The only thing I don't scimp on is ... pants!Gone ... or have I?0 -
I like to wear dresses when im away, so I take about 5 dresses and I take about 4 pairs of trousers (short and long) and shorts and vests. I always have far too much but I've always been the same. My OH is just as bad as me for taking stuff away lol0

Hey, I don't normally bother packing beach towels, most hotels give you a card to allow you to have 1 each.
For a week, I normally take 1 pair of cropped trousers to wear to breakfast, pair of shorts and evening trousers, day dress/ dress round the pool, evening dress, skirt and maybe like 2 smart tops and day vest and t-shirt.....I try to take as little as possible as I have to carry the case hehe a bag for round the pool, bag for going out, sandals, flip flops ( is a must, especially in the hotel shower ) 2 bikinis and then lots of suncream, UV shampoo, conditioner, mask, aftersun, not forgetting essentials.
I take accessories, wear a scarf on the plane to try and hide the most disgusting smells of so called food! maybe a pashmina, also take a couple of necklaces to spruce up a plain black outfit....oh and I might even travel in leggings and wear a dress, so I've got one outfit already.
I get really cold on the plane, so might include a jumper too.... thats it for now, taking a very small case for a 5 day trip to dubai, thinking a total black wardrobe!!0 -

I don't think it can be a joke.
I read a post on here a week or so ago and someone said their wife takes 60kgs of luggage - for herself.
We did a 4 week tour of China with teperatures ranging between 30C in Shanghai & -4 at night in Chengde - all within 20kgs each.
I guess it depends on where you go - 2 weeks in Turkey S/C may require different clothes to 2 weeks in say, Las Vegas.
As long as people are prepared to pay any excess luggage charge - does it really matter how much they pack?0 -
Take some key items - undies, t-shirts, skirt, 1 dress, 1 pair of trousers, 1 pair of shorts, 1 hat, 1 pair of walking sandals, tube of travel wash, toiletries (you don't need loads nor do you need loads of makeup).
I have managed a 3 week trip around Oz on a 20kg suitcase of clothes as above and even survived for 3 months in Israel on a lot less (1 rucksack of clothes including a sleeping bag).0 -
I've got six weeks to cut down what im thinking of taking lol. I often just leave vests and shorts that get covered in Cream. I leave some toiletries and bits and bobs so I can bring some stuff back0

I am just now trying to persuade my two teens that they can go away for a week with just 10kg hand luggage. I did it last year on my own. Just a lot of stuff in y cagoul pockets. Weh I went to Oz for 3 weeks I only had 20kg allowance. It was enough and I bought a load of presents back, including a digeredoo. But I stay with relatives so have access to a washing machine. My dd thinks she needs to take 10kg just of slap. !!!Anyone who lives within their means suffers from a lack of imagination:beer:

take a light waterproof jacket in case it rains!
I use shampoo to wash my clothes - saves carrying a separate washing soap!0 -
I've got to pack to go away for a year, I've been avidly watching Gok Wan to try and decide on a "capsule wardrobe", that plus sports gear (gym and horseriding) and enough toiletries to last me my first month should be enough. I'll still have excess baggage though in the form of my doggie who's going with me and thats what she's classed as by the airline. Mind you this is what I'm saying now - I have no doubt when I come to pack I'll have to fight with myself to keep it down.Never let your sucesses go to your head and never let your failures go to your heart.:beer:0
