I can't believe that people take things like travel wash. Unless you're going to the middle of nowhere, all these type of items can be bought at your destination.
When I travel abroad, my first stop in the nearest Aldi, Lidl or ABC store for those little essentials/comforts and they almost always get left behind when I leave. My hit list is a few cartons of juice for the duty free vodka, midnight nibbles, travel wash, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, etc... Too many times in the past I've packed a travel iron and such only to find that my room had a full size iron and ironing board, or in the States, a fully equipped laundry room.

Thanks for your replies, we are off to Kefalonia for a week at the end of may with Thomson so we have 20kg each. But i stupidly bought one case for the both of us!!. It's not huge and i don't need to take a kettle etc just clothes.

I'm going to have to risk it, i can't go and buy another two cases. I'll carry books etc as hand luggage.

I wasn't near a Tesco, so picked up travel wash in Superdrug - was under £1 but there was only two left on the shelf.

Why can't you return it and swap for 2 cases instead?

Nearly there now, with one more day to work.
I think I have decided what to wear to travel in :rolleyes:. A strappy t.shirt with shirt over. Blue Jacket, 3/4 lenth trousers and sandles. In my hand/carrry on bag will be 1x swimware and t.shirt and shorts. That I could live with if horror happens :eek:. I met a couple on the beach last year that went for a week and their cases only turned up on day 4 :eek:.

At least they got to buy at least one new outfit each on their travel insurance

To celebrate in the pound shop today I bought ( blue don't read as you will have a fit!) 2 straw like beach mats. They fold in half and then roll realy small. I know thoose while plastic sun loungers on the beach are hired for £5 per person, even if you sit on one for just an hour or two. Well theese were a pound each and for that I do not mind putting in the bin on return.

OK, this is Tracys suitcases for a 1 week holiday. The 2 big ones have 32KG each in them and the little one has about 12KG for the plane. There are no electrical things in there except a hairdrier, just clothes, shoes and makeup. As you can see by what she is wearing this is a summer holiday so only lightweight clothing as well. My cases are out of sight but I take one the same size as hers and a golf bag

do you only stay in S/C or large suites? That many hard suitcases must fill most standard sized hotel rooms.
