    Morning all,

Hugs to smoky and all the others who are poorly at the moment.

Belated birthday wishes to sunnyday, hillstep, Old macdonald and Miss Penguin :bdaycake:

mummysaver, don't worry about your hair....I asked Mr Pink to take an inch off mine earlier this year, being a man his idea of an inch is very different to mine  and he cut six wonky inches off! Once we straightened it out and I got used to it I realised that it knocked years off me! I went to the hairdresser last week for the first time in two years (in Churchmouse's honour ;) ) to get it fixed properly. I now have short hair and I feel great! I know it's difficult but try to see it as a positive thing. :D

dlb, fingers crossed that they win!

I've been a busy bee this morning...

It's cold here but the sun is shining so I've been out in the garden planting seeds and fiddling about with the plants that survived the winter. Mr Pink had a lie in and I did the good wife thing and took him a cooked breakfast in bed....that's a very rare event so he has a vaguely worried look on his face now. :D

Plans for the rest of the day are tidying, cooking and baking. I think I might even have a go at the lemon drizzle cake recipe that you all talk about.

    Have a good Sunday,

    Pink

    Hello everyone!

Well not much going on here today. Been to the farmers market this morning and was a bit disapointed. Its the first time i've been to this one and it was small compared to what i imagined. Did get some Ostrich burgers to try though so looking forward to those one night this week.

DS has been a bit of a monkey this morning, so hopefully he will be in a better mood this afternoon after his nap.

Hugs to those that need them.

    Hello all:D

On a flying visit again today:rolleyes: Just back from the farmer's market, and my purse is now almost empty:o (feel free to show me the door:p ) But my freezer does now contain , look away now Aussie, a couple of rabbits, pigeon breasts, fantastic sausages. And the fridge is stuffed with a huge selection of olives, a big block of feta cheese, fantastic bacon that never shrinks or leaks white yucky stuff, free range organic eggs, and a lovely joint of lamb for tomorrow. Can't do the joint today, got a Church *do* later, and I have to go help with the catering for that very soon.

Sorry for all the birthdays I've missed. Hope you all had lovely days.

Nice to see you posting Pink, so you survived Haribo's visit then;)

Good luck master dlb, hope you win!

    ((((smoky and the littlies)))

((((hugs)))) to all the other poorlies, you know who you are.

Right, must go and wash my hair, so I'll look OKish when I get there. After 3 hours in the kitchen I'll be a frizzbomb when I come out:rotfl:

    Enjoy your days.

Mummysaver, I had such a good giggle that i feel it's only fair to share my bleaching disaster. When I was 19 (many moons ago) I used to work in surrey at a nursing home. I lived on site - there were nurses in one block and chefs/ cooks in the other. We were all good friends and one of thenurses offered to bleach my hair... I didn't bother reading the instructions, I left it all to Gill. She applied the bleach left it on. tested it, left it, tested it, It must have been on my head for well over an hour and when she took it off and rinsed and dried my hair I was mortified-It was White blonde and looked like candyfloss-everyone had a good laugh and the next day I had to go to the hairdressers for it all to be rectified. I ended up having my hair cut quite short in a vain attempt to get rid of it-Not even my mum and dad recognised me when I went home-Mum saw me approaching the house and said well its tattycaths walk but not her hair!!!!!:rotfl:

Hi DLB - so sorry the team lost but what true sporting behaviour to be gracious in defeat and still be on a high. That's what sport should be about. So, well done, anyway!

aaawwwww sorry to hear that your son's team lost DLB. But he got to the final and sounds like he had a smashing experience and if he's happy well thats all that counts at the end of the day isn't it.

Talking of bad hair experiences, I remember 2 instances from when I was young. My mum was to blame for most of them (well maybe I was too cos I went along with it lol) First was when I decided I wanted a fringe and she cut it and taped it down with sellotape while it was wet so it would stay put. OMG the agony of getting the sellotape off afterwards:eek:  :rotfl:

The second was when she was trimming my fringe once and it was a bit wonk so she did it again, by the time she had finished I had about half an inch of fringe left.
  • Hi Guys!

    Another quiet day here today.

OH is just doing some soup and rolls for lunch, then he is doing a full roast chicken dinner later:D

No washing needing doing today, but will need to go on tomorrow. DW will need to go on later too. My helper is here tomorrow so all the other jobs I will leave for her to do.

I think I have some kind of bug ATM as I feel shivery all the time and throat is hurting.

OH went to Blockbusters to get a free rental they sent us, so we have a film to watch later today which looks quite good.

Really need to get my butt into gear as I have so much that needs sorting around the house and just cant be bothered to do:o

    Hugs to everyone.
