Os Daily Thread 20th April.

Hi, this is the Daily Thread for xx (add date). This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

Morning all!

Morning all! LEARNINGTOSAVE - (((Hugs))) to your Gran.

SMOKY - (((Hugs))) to you and LOs.

(((Hugs))) to PENPIN and to all who need them.

I think I missed a couple of birthdays and some welcome-to-newbies yesterday so HB and welcome to you all!

    CHURCHMOUSE - :hello: :hello: :hello:

Well, after my strange start to the day yesterday, I felt really tired for the rest of the day! The good thing was that I didn't have loads to do because I had worked hard during the week so I was able to take it easy and doze off when I felt like it - which was often!

Today I really do intend to recover my dining chairs - they should have been done yesterday.

I hope the weather is better today - it was so gloomy and damp here yesterday. Apparently, next weekend is going to be lovely in the UK; don't know how long for but I'm looking forward to it!

Anyway, off to put the BM on and then have a shower.

    See you all later.

Morning LTS & Moiliere & all to follow,

Lovely sunny day here, it was forecast for rain. DD & I had a lovely day together yesterday. We were suppose to go to the movies & see The Other Boleyn Girl but the advertised time in the paper was different to when it was on. Another time so we had lunch and browsed the shops. Today been doing some baking. Made a loaf of bread, cake & slice. Caught up with book work & letter writing this arv.

We've got a huge crop of passionfruit. Sigh. :D The cordial is a huge success. I think we'll get about 100+ out of this vine atm. Lots of passionfruit recipes coming up.

    MrsMix

<hugs> to those poorly. Big  to the new posters the last few days. Will pop back later. Off to cut out a pattern. Byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

Morning. We used to have passion fruits in Africa when we lived there. Makes great drink.
Anyway. Hope everyone is well. I worked till 10 and then managed 30 minutes of match of the day before falling asleep.
Church this morning, and then work straight after. Kids have band practise after as they are doing the music next week, so not much time to spare today.
I saw diesel at £1.23 yesterday near Newquay. That is frightening!
Not much else going on really, need the weather to warm up so I can get the veggies in the garden.
    Cheers

Yesterday, I cooked up a storm in the kitchen, so I had better edit my Mr.Tesco delivery for Wednesday. I got a new audio book delivered on Friday so my ear has been up against the boom box!!! I keep falling asleep a quarter of the way through the last tape.....Must go, I can smell the elixir of life, COFFEE
Today, my BEST is good enough.

    Good morning everyone

Ooooooohhh, my head! Sister was only here for only 2 days - and now I am absolutely [STRIKE]knackered[/STRIKE] worn out!!

Today will be spent [STRIKE]recovering[/STRIKE] tidying up, small Tesco shop and getting ready to go back to work tomorrow. Something simple for dinner today I think.

Hope everyone has a great day - hugs to all

Good morning, LTS, Mioliere, DLB & Aussie and those who cross and follow.

Well, so far so good, I'm up and about early today. Just made Mr Twit's lunch and got some toast in for him, what a kind and devoted wifey I am :D
Lots of jobs to do today, and I'm helping mum later, so she's treating me to a chinese meal tonight, think I'll throw something into the slow cooker for Mr and Miss Twit.

Good luck master DLB and look forward to hearing the tales of passion Aussie.

    Hugs to all The Twit.

    Morning everyone ....

Well after a quiet day with eldest daughter yesterday watching some films a friend had got for me.

This morning the fire is cleaned out, washing on, breadmaker on and now sat here nattering and catching up on yesterday

Friend coming over today, bringing me some lemon cake his mum made, he tried mine last weekend and his mum offered to make him some... but in his words, it isnt the same so wants me to try it and see whats different... oops.... Ive told him he isnt supposed to tell his mum a girl probably 20 yrs younger makes a better lemon cake  he's just supposed to eat it...

Lunch (well late lunch) at parents today .. let of lamb yummy :D

hugs to all those that need them, and I missed the birthdays yesterday ... so thats no birthday cake for me. Hope all those that went out had a good time

(((((((PP, smokey))))) and for all those feeling poorly or who have got sick relatives at the moment. Hope things take a turn for the positive soon.

Good luck Master DLB!!!!!! And belated birthday wishes for yesterday for those I didn't catch up with.

N9eav - I saw it at £1.54 the other week, at a little (independent?) garage somewhere near Oxted in Surrey!!! Nearly drove off the road while trying to gawp & see if I'd misread the price as I went past....

Had a good day's tidying my room yesterday (why do I feel like a teenager saying that?); need to sort through my clothes now as [strike]I'm too fat for most of them[/strike] they are out of fashion now... Already hung out one load of washing on the line this morning - is dry out for now. Could do with getting another one done & dry, so I can sort everything in one go.

Meantime, time for more tea & need to start on typing my letters for the office, get them out of the way.

    Have a good day all.

    Morning all

Wish I could sleep in these days, but, no. Up at 6.30am grrrrrrrr.

Went to Ikea yesterday as they had their 21% sale on to see what they had to give away. Bought a new wine rack, a summer duvet and 2 of those strangely shaped pillows that are supposed to support your neck. Woke up with a bit of a dodgy neck but ok now. It says they take a bit of getting used to so might perservere againt tonight. Going to get another cuppa and do my online Tesco shop. Lets hope I can get a money off code again this week, and that'll be 4 weeks in a row (I think) :T

Oops forgot to say - GOOD LUCK TO DLB'S SON IN HIS CUP FINAL !!!!!!!

    Have a good day everyone
