Don't believe the hype, yes the price will go up but not so much, so fast. BTW, what's the source of this info?
The FACTS:
US light crude had hit $70.48 a barrel in early Wednesday trade, but dropped to $69.60.
London's Brent crude was up 27 cents to $67.84 a barrel on Wednesday.

Oil prices turned lower Wednesday after Energy Secretary Samuel Bodman said the U.S. plans to lend oil to refiners hurt by Hurricane Katrina.
U.S. light sweet crude for October delivery fell as low as $69.20 in electronic trading.

Oh yes, and it was a 20 per cent increase (not 40%) in the USA.0 -

The prices are going up every week, so no point in rushing to fill up, or you will be filling up every day !
Let me see, .... the average person with an empty tank will save 5p X 60 litres = £3.00 if it goes up 5p overnight which is very unlikely.
Just do not see the point, as you have to fill up again when your tank is empty.0 -
ok, i thot i would post to save people money, i seem to be getting flamed for trying to save money. wont bother in future, any postsi make will be on the site in my signature and no hereNever do things tomorow when you can do them today.0

The only thing is I will need to fill up again next week, so it's not really worth bothering today.0

You are not getting flamed. Any ideas to save money are useful, but on this occasion if I save £1 to £2 now (as I have half a tank fun) I'll be spending it next week when I fill up again.
Besides a lot of people remember the petrol strikes and its associated chaos with very 'fond' memories. No-one is having a go at you, but they are just stating their point of view.Baby Year 1: Oh dear...on the move

Then why do people always rush to the pumps just after the chancellor says "petrol duty will go up 2p from 6pm today" ?
Thank you OP, you tried to warn us, my tank is full anyway, these peeps just don't believe it.0
