In that case I pledge to.....
Launder/clean & photograph the stuff I plan to list on ebay & list at least one item (I'm a virgin seller so will start slowly)
Get my cleaning routine back on track
Stick to the grocery budget.....I've been slipping since Spud arrived:rolleyes:
Make puddings at least 3 times a week to keep hubby happy
Make more of an effort to stay in touch with my working frinds so that I don't become completley one dimensional or a social misfit!:eek:Post Natal Depression is the worst part of giving birth:p
In England we have Mothering Sunday & Father Christmas, Mothers day & Santa Clause are American merchandising tricks:mad: Demonstrate pride in your heirtage by getting it right please people!0 -
small changes make a big difference
i've joined flylady, but apart from the shoes thing, all i seem to do is delete the emails.
tried to set up the control journal, but not sure where it is now.
had to empty car boot for MOT yday and don't know where to put the stuff
so my small pledge, starting tomorrow, is to use the timer for 15 minute stretches, as suggested by flylady, to stop over-running on rubbish jobs. and maybe to set a limit on computer time.
will let you know.0 -
OOhh!! I'd forgotton about this thread!
Just had a quick look at what I had pledged. I was quite pleased, since I posted I have not slipped, I have cooked loads of meals from scratch and not bought any ready meals!! Its the first time since I left my moms house and got married thirteen years ago that there are NO ready meals in the freezer, and there hasnt been for the last couple of months. So Im pleased with that and I pledge to carry it on. :T
My other pledge was to go to bed earlier and get up earlier, I have been much better at getting up earlier but not at going to bed earlier. For as long as I can remember I have been terrible at going to bed early no matter how tired I am, I cant do it. I spend half my life wandering around in a tired daze, I really dont know why I do it, it's getting to be more of a problem now I am getting older as I dont seem to be able to cope as well on less sleep and it makes me feel really low too. So my pledge for next month is to concentrate on getting more sleep!
Im going to write my shopping list for tomorrow and then Im going to bed, Ive got a good library book, and a Harry Potter on audio book to listen to, I shall take my hot chocolate and my hot water bottle and I shall go.0 -
First time I've seen his thread, but will make some pledges for the rest of October.
1) NO unnecessary spending (eg chocolate bars, McFlurrys (yum yum!!))
2) To not stay on MSE ALL night and to try to be in bed by 11.00pm (at the latest!!)
3) To use cash rather than cards!!
4) To keep on top of ironing (I think little and often is the key - but I spend too long on here to do ANY!):D20p Saver Club #33 60p/£100
Christmas Saving £0/£1300
Saving Target 2014 £25/£10000 -
I pledge to:
use up all the half bottles of toiletries in the bathroom before buying any more, even if its a bargain or i get one free.
use up all my sachets and samples of washes, lotions and creams from my huge box ive collected over the months.
get books from the library instead of buying from amazon with e vouchers
try and do all my clicks for earning points and surveys before even logging onto MSE
take all my clutter to the charity shops instead of storing it in a box waiting for a charity bag to come through the letter box
and lastly now ive decluttered and tidied cupboards out neatly, try and keep it that way too.:)0
