My pledges, to work harder on the grocery challenge. To bake more instead of running to the Co-op for chocolate cake. To hoover more than once a week :D

That's mine for now. I'm not pushing myself too hard :D

I'm with Curry-Queen. I get so fed up of feeling bad so I'm only pledging baby steps. I am trying to tell myself that if I have one "achievment" every day, then I am doing alright. Some days just getting out of bed counts.
This month I will pledge to defrost both freezers before we go on holiday, that means digging out the steam cleaner which will also be an achievment.
  • Wow what a brilliant thread! Thanks for that and welcome AnnaV! My pledge is to get any work by the end of next week (temping, paid favours, fulltime- anything!), to USE the millions of cookbooks I own for some new recipes, and to check their ingredients list before I go shopping so I buy what I need in the weekly groceries.

I pledge to go out tonight and get totally drunk coz the missus is driving (it is our wedding anniverary), and then have a long weekend at home doing very little, enjoying every spare moment before the new baby turns up at the end of September and turns our lives upside down again.
  • I pledge to never use a carrier bag from the supermarket again. Also to stop buying new paperbacks, it's either car boots, charity shops, the library or not at all.

  • So.....how did we all do with our pledges? I failed most of mine I'm afraid but they are still good ones so I'm going to try them again

    Failed miserably :(:(:(

But then it has been a very stressful month so I'm not going to beat myself up about it and will try again later when things calm down a bit ;)

Funnily enough, I was just thinking about this thread today and you've gone and resurrected it :D
