This is a brilliant idea (and I think I arrived at the right time in the thread too
)
In September I pledge to:
Keep hold of all my reciepts, and note in my diary what I don't get a reciept for so I can see what I've been spending.
Defrost one of my freezers so I can get stuff into it
Keep more on top of the housework on days my back's not sore so I'm not scared by the dust bunnies on the days that it is! :eek:Pre O/S: what's a vitamin? Does it begin with the letter e?Now: I'm not eating any of that pre-made rubbish...0 -
Some of you have had some fab ideas, so please don't be offended if you see some of your pledges as mine

This September, I pledge to:
Get dressed before I switch on the computer in the morning (unless it's at 5am, in which case I'm allowed to be in my dressing gown
).
Do the washing up and not let the pile get too high.
Iron when I say I will.
Try to dust/clean part of the house each day.
Not to spend money I don't have on chocolate and coca-cola. Yes, I'm a bad person, but they're therapy to me - but I can't really afford that sort of therapy at the moment.
I could have gone on and on, however I'll just try to cope with those for the time being. When they all become habit, I'll move on...........Sealed Pot Challenge #021 #8 975.71 #9 £881.44 #10 £961.13 #11 £782.13 #12 £741.83 #13 £2135.22 #14 £895.53 #15 £1240.40 #16 £1805.87 #17 £1820.01 #18 £2021.83 declared0 -
Okay .... erm ... I have such a long list that I want to do I guess I has better just choose the ones that need urgent attention.
1) To sell the 6ft high pile of eBay stuff as soon as possible, what doesn't sell is to go to charity.
2) Keep up with the ironing (I've already got a basket full again  )
3) Keep up with the washing up - no more dirty dishes sitting next to the sink for days on end because "they won't fit in the drainer with the daily used dishes". Only except is if I manage to weld something onto an oven dish and it needs to soak
4) Properly clean the house every Monday and Friday. I know this is close together but Monday is to clean up after the weekend, which will be mostly putting stuff back where it should be knowing this household, and Fridays is to clean so I don't have to do anything (other than washing & ironing) over the weekend.
5) Pay £25 off our credit card debt every Monday morning first thing after the school run.
That will have to do for now otherwise it will be at about 100 items :rotfl:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -

I can help you overcome your addiction to coke if you'd like!!! If you want me to post what they use coke syrup for in the states let me know!!
I'd rather be a could-be if I cannot be an are; because a could-be is a maybe who is reaching for a star. I'd rather be a has-been than a might-have-been, by far; for a might have-been has never been, but a has was once an are – Milton Berle0 -

I very rarely post on the daily thread either because my achievements are so pitiful!
I love reading the thread though and I do find it inspiring that everybody else on here seems so much more organised than me.
*Edit: To keep this thread on topic, I'd better add some additional pledges for this month.
I'm going to complete both the Grocery Challenge and the PIN money challenge this month for the first time.0 -

Defrost one of my freezers so I can get stuff into it
QUOTE]
Go for it. I finally defrosted mine a few weeks ago - I had been putting it off for months and months . I could hardly shut the door, barely open two of the drawers and could hardly see what was in there for ice!!.(not money saving in terms of running it) When I finally did it - it took ages (as a result of putting off for so long) but now I get sense of satisfaction that I can open it easily and the drawerss and see what is in or add to it without chisseling a bit of ice of first. I know I'm sad but it does make me feel better.0 -
I think that my pledge will be to do at least one thing that will make me feel good and as if I had accomplished something - no matter what it is - from tackling the mountain of ironing to trying a new recipe from ingredients I already have."This site is addictive!"
Wooligan 2 squares for smoky - 3 squares for HTA
Preemie hats - 2.0
