I've got some Nando's peri-peri marinade in the fridge and Ive just found out it's only 0.5 syns per tbsp, so I'm thinking of doing 'something' with that.....maybe marinade some quorn fillets and then have them with corn on the cob and sw chips?

How would I cook the quorn though - under the grill/in the oven/griddle pan? And what do I count the chips as? I know the potatoes are free, but then you spray them with oil don't you?

I'm trying to branch out from my diet of shredded wheat, eggs, yoghurt, fruit and pasta, but I'm so crap at cooking!

peri-peri sounds fab on quorn :T I would maybe griddle it, chuck some tomtaoes in for a couple of minutes to give it a bit of moisture?

SW chips are free - the spray oil is counted as free also :T so you couldhave SW chips, baked beans, quorn sausages, eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes all at the same time if the mood took you!

My local Asda has some dragon fruit at the moment, which was a suprise as it's a smaller store of the 2 in Poole. I don't personally like the taste, it reminds me a bit of passion fruit or lychees and I don't like them either.

    Delicious Food Optimising Days

That is my absolute must have book, if you ever need inspiration its there on every page lol. Bargain at £2.95.

Penguin - well done or your loss, thats fantastic!

I am not sure what I am doing today. I have had 2 weetabix with 250ml of milk. I had a bit of a blowout last night and ate 2 daim bars, along with the crisps earlier in the day I had 22.5 syns :o I also ended up having a green day and had a chow mein stir fry. I spose its a good job I was neutral up to tea time lol. I hope that its out of my system though, but can I ask for some extra support? I have 3.5lb to my next sticker which is my 1.5 stone but it will also take me into my next stone zone. I really want this in the next 2 weeks but I am scared I am going to go off the rails

Why are you wanting to lose weight? I feel self conscious all the time, and I just want to be able to put clothes on without looking in the mirror and sighing. I don't want to be skinny, or wear really revealing, skin tight outfits, I just want to be able to wear nice, normal clothes and feel comfortable. So for me, picturing how I will feel wearing something really lovely and stylish helps me stay motivated when I'm struggling. If you pinpoint why YOU want to lose weight, it might help you stay focussed?

The first time I did sw I wanted to lose weight as I had been ill and nearly died, and being overweight put me at risk of it happening again. So I decided to slim right down to what I used to be able to maintain no probs (9st). I think this time I have the illness right in the back of my mind, but for me I just want to feel that slim again! To easily get back into the 10 and 12 clothes I have in my drawers from last time. I cant be big again this summer, I really cant! Last summer I got a pair of 3/4 length trousers and some big tshirts to tide me over and I felt awful. I feel so much slimmer now, but I know I have a way to go to be where I want to be. My initial target is 9st but I am hoping I can get down to 8st 6.5lb.

I have been so inspired and motivated by this thread, I have lost weight really well since joining up, but the thread seems to have slowed down a bit and I guess I am worried I will go back to my really small losses and staying the same. Hope that makes sense?

how tall are you Cleosmum? No point in pushing your body to a really low target if your body is happy maintaining at 9 stone?

maybe see how you feel at 9 stone then, no point in punishing yourself to go up and down a few pounds all the time.

Blimey - the bottom of my height:weight range on the table is 9 stone 1 - I'd have to take my skin off I think to weigh 9 stone - I'm 5 ft 7!

Yes, I am going to see how I feel at 9st so have set that as my initial target. Last time I was there I probably just needed to tone up more, but my body is so different this time at SW that I will wait and see when I get there. Wish I could get down to 9st and maintain it easily, not been able to do that since baby no 3 and he is 9 this summer lol. The height weight range is quite scary, my lowest acceptable weight was 7st something

Thanks Snaggles and Keren, I feel so much better, really need to focus on where I want to be and how I will feel again.

Behave yourself, I can see you you know :D

Have you tried the SW quiches? They're so easy that non-cooks can make them too.

Well I have had a good day...

    Breakfast - Branflakes

Lunch- Jacket pot with HM ratatouille

Dinner - Butternut squash and leek risotto (It turned out lovely and dead simple to make, even for me)

    Butternut Squash risotto

1 butternut squash cubed then roasted in oven in frylight and seasoning and 3 garlic cloves.

2 leeks, 2 pints veg stock, risotto rice.

Sweat leeks in fry light until soft, add risotto rice stir on heat for 2 mins then add ladle of stock at a time until all stock has been absorbed by rice but still quite wet. Cook rice until it still has a bit of bite to it. Add roasted squash when rice is ready and give a good stir.

    LUSH:D

I havent had anything else and Im totally stuffed with the risotto.
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.
