  • Hi all,

Wondered if I could join your slimming group. I have been following the slimming world diet on my own for about 3 weeks as cant really afford to go to the groups each week, doing ok lost about 5lbs but am starting to slack off (i get a bit lax with my healthy extras). Need some encouragement!!! Spent all of yesterday reading the forum from the beginning and you all sound so supportive. :)

Also can I be added to your spreadsheet?

I'm a newbie to posting on forums so be gentle ;)

course you can you spudulicious woman!!!!!!!!!

Something is starting to happen I think. My work skirt is very long and has a half elasticated waist. I always pull it down onto my hips so it is ankle length. Got up and put it on this morning, pulled it down and it is skimming the floor!!! I've put the waistband on my waist and it is the perfect length!!

Let's hope that means a few millimetres have started to come off.

    Food for today

    fruit n fibre (hob)
    milk (hoa)
    banana

    Thank you hun :T

Well done on the skirt. I've got a top on today that I've not worn in years, but still feel a bit self conscious in it. I might be a wuss and get changed before I go to work :o
Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches

i find green days great for nibbling and snacking but not for actual weightloss, the weight drops off me on original days, one of my favourite snacks is a pate made with chicken breast, smoked ham, spring onions salt and pepper to taste anda good dollop of cottage cheese all blended together dip your carrots or celery in it and away you go, completely free and keeps the metabolism going.:T

Welcome Spud and Hermajesty - I've added you both to our spreadsheet.

OMG I have just eaten sooooo much pasta :o I hated doing a red day yesterday but I have to say, I felt better for having less carbs, so I'm not sure what effect the pasta overload will have.

I feel so tired though - I'm certain it's not due to the diet, but the tiredness is making me crave chocolate, which isn't good. I'm just thinking about having a kitkat, which would be within my syns but I really wanted to stay away from eating rubbish.

Weigh-in tomorrow, and if I haven't lost anything I will be most upset, because apart from Saturday I have been almost angelic this week...lol! :A

  • Im trying a green today, had boiled egg for breakfast with 2 wm nimble (HEB)
and just had the most gorgeous thing for lunch it was the potato and mushroom hash (recipe from this months magazine) it was delicious and its free.
Dont know what to have for tea probably new potatoes with something, we have a quiche that needs eating might have a sliver of that and use syns.
Great news on the skirt keren, I have some linen trousers that I would like to get into last time I tried there was a gap of about 4 inches between the button and the hole and that was with me not breathing at all, im hoping they will fit by summer.

That pate sounds gorgeous Northernlass - I think I could cope on red days if I made some things I can nibble like that. :T

  • Thanks snaggles :). Can I put my starting weight as when I started 2 weeks ago? It was 11 stone 1lb. My target weight is 9st 5lb. My weight day is usually Friday and my weight last week was 10st 8 1/2 lb.

I find it really hard on red days, I usually end up eating ryvita with some light laughing cow and mackerel in tomatoe sauce, or i'll make home made cabbage soup with cabbage, celery, peppers, leek, spring onions and plum tomatoes and a bit of stock. Thats quite filling and usually does me all day. I do love green days though, there just seems to be so much more choice.

We've been doing it for a week, so I've put your starting weight as 11st 1lb, and a week 1 weightloss of 6.6lbs (I know that was 2 weeks loss, but that way you're on the same week as us) - is that okay?
