I should also point out that week I ate alot of fresh fish and meat with fresh veg and kept my syns low. Salmon, veg and homemade dill sauce, pollack and veg with a homemade tomato & basil sauce, pork loin steaks with veg and bovril gravy.
Shall I have cod with a tomato sauce and veg, or prawns and salad? I really should do some planning for tomorrow...0 -

live taste test!
hhhhhhhhmmmmmm, not bad - I'd never put it anywhere near being like bacon other than the smell being like smoky bacon crisps, but if you can imagine putting a small piece of sandwich ham in the frying pan for a minute and then it tasting like smoky bacon crisps - I'd say that's a pretty fair description!
They don't look particularly appealing - kind of like an inner sole of a shoe made from luncheon meat!
