I always go with the syns online as I figure they must have worked them out properly first.

If not isn't there a free phone number you can call to check? I'm sure I've seen something on there.

afternoon all! Just go in and I'm attacking a red day with vengeance!

    Tally so far

    bananas x 3
    grapes
    satsuma

half a packet of roast chicken (I was generous and went 50/50 with my dog!)

    chicken
    bacon
    salad

    4 digestives (14.5)

    optivita (hob)
    skimmed milk (hoa)

    mullerlight

    eggs
    cheese (hoa)

I have to go to a very long meeting once a fortnight on a Friday and I was dreaded it as there are alwasy lush big soft cookies and brownies and cake etc. The person who brings it though brought digestives, satsumas and grapes instead so although I've spent my syns for the day it was a lot better than it could have been because, believe me, it takes a few biscuits to get through that meeting!!

Lucy - good on you for going- 3.5 is not a huge amount to re-lose and give it a few weeks and you'll be glad you didn't shy away from going ! See it as a way of re-examining all the books and foods to find a few new choices.

northern lass - it's definitely free. I can't see the number, but I think it's an 0844 number rather than a freephone number.

Lunch: a pot of Heinz Big Eat (tom and veg) 1.5 syns on green, with a large wholemeal roll which took up 2 x HEB. Also been snacking on fruit. TOTM for me from today, 1st day always bad but have made sure to eat as normally I dont eat as I feel so bad and then eat the wrong things as I am sooo hungry.

Dinner will probably be wholewheat pasta with a tomato, basil and garlic sauce. Will have 42g cheese alternative sprinkled on the top (1 HEA).

Now off to bed with my hot water bottle!

I'm not into eating tonnes of meat. I'd never go vegetarian but I only eat a bit of meat - it's weird but I find eating loads of it 'boring' taste wise.

I'd rather have pasta, rice, noodles or potatoes in various guises. I do lose weight faster on red days but I guess the way to describe it is like a chain smoker - always on the lookout for the next 'fix'!! I've tried to take my mind off it by doing the washing up but I'm going to be biting my nails soon!!

All my 'fixes' are green related things!!!

I've also not had any bread for 9 days - and that is my ultimate downfall - I daren't buy or make any!!

For those of you that have never done SW before, it is worth it to buy the magazine and see if you can buy the books off ebay or something?

Haven't read all the thread so don't know if someone has already pointed this out, but please, please don't buy the books off eBay. They really are a rip-off and you can ring Slimming World Head Office and buy them direct, much cheaper.

The credit card hotline is 0870 330 1804 - open Monday to Friday 9-5 and there's a flat fee of £4 delivery if you order more than 4 books or £1 per book.
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

I agree consultant - someone was selling the new free branded foods book for £9.99 plus postage on ebay!!! It's £1.95 to buy from SW.
