In my freezer I have bolognaise sauce that I made, will it be better to have it on a green or red day.I will be having it with pasta (not wholemeal).
It was made in SC with lean beef mince, dolmio jar original, mushrooms, onion, tinned tomatoes and a small amount of instant bisto granules.
It was split into 6 portions.
So red or green?? and how many syns etc.Im trying to plan tomorrows menu, Im on nights tonight so need to organise myself.Im veering towards red

personally, i'd have it as a red day. If you have it as green you have to know exactly how much mince is in each portion - some might have more, some less. If you have it as red, you can have the pasta as a b choice or syns and they you know exactly how much you are having as you'll be able to weigh it.

sorry but she cant have the pasta as a B choice on a red day as it isnt wholemeal she said so in her post so although she wont know exactly how much mince is in it it wont be as expensive syns wise if she had it on a green day.

  • 28g dried is 5 syns on a red day then add on the sause syns and we are looking at about 8/9 syns. i understand what you were saying about not knowing exactly how much mince will be in each portion but that can go for loads of recipes cant it youre not going to get the exact right amount in each portion does that sound OK.

Spreadsheet updated with the PMs and posts for the last couple of days - I'll add a quick post every time I update it if that's okay, then I know where I've got to - so you don't need to pm me any more (unless you want to of course :)), I am managing to keep up....lol!

Been super-good today, but off out for a chinese and drinks in a minute, so will probably be a little bit bad (going to have some sort of stir-fry veg and boiled rice, with a 'couple' of voda & low-cal tonics ;)).

  • Hi all
I've just been creating a blog with my menu plans for each day! I'm very excited :j

Hopefully it'll inspire me when the ideas dry up or I have no time to think about what I can have or what should be on my shopping list :o

I'm not sure if we're allowed to link to blogs on here?
