Hello,
I've just been having a read through this thread and would like to join please.
I've just joined slimming world today, I was a member about 8 years ago and i'm relieved the see that little has changed. I need to loose quite alot, 4 stone! I was doing weight watchers until before christmas and had lost 3 and a half stone but i've found it really had to do and thought that a change would do me good. I've just had a huge slimming world lunch and feel really stuffed!
You all sound so supportive of each other, I could really do with the extra help!
I've even bought some pudding rice today to try and recreate the rice pudding and yoghurt receipe!0 -

Hi everyone
Just been reading through some of your thread (not all as it's sooooooooo long already!), but wondered if I could please join in? I have followed the diet before and got to my target, but then stupidly stopped going to class and went back to the bad old ways so now all the weight is back on. I want to lose one stone but really grudge paying the £5 per week for class so wondered if I could join in with you lovely folkies? I have already started putting £2 per week away for "class" fees and have been getting weighed each Saturday at my sister's house along with her and my mum, and we have all been popping £2 in a lovely little fat piggie, but unfortunately to date haven't done much else! The intention is there, but also the will for crisps is still here too! LOL. However, my hope is if I join in here and keep logging in to read everybody's progress, it will spur me on. I think my weight last Saturday was 9 st. 5lbs and I really need to be 8 st 5lbs ( I am only short!). I still have all my Slimming World books, just need to dig them out and get cracking!
Thank you all.

Hello Ladies (and gents if we have any!) Iwould love to join this thread. I am a typical yo yo dieter and have been on diets most of my life - lost stones and gained stones. I can't get on with WW diets as I was always hungry but could with Slimming World. Don't have the diet packs anymore as I went years ago but at least on SW I was never hungry. I will work my way through this thread (eventually) and hopefully get some plan together and the correct foods. My friends at work all joined WW last week and asked me to go but I feel really embarassed to join as the most they have to lose is about 1 stone max - I have about 4 stone. They all discuss their weight but I'm too embarassed to tell them mine which is why I have not joined with them. You all seem very friendly and my sister has agreed to weigh me every week. So I would like to start this Thursday - is that OK?0

Welcome to our little group stressedoutmum. That is the good thing about SW plan, you never go hungry! Its nice that your sister is going to help you out by weighing you every week. If you are not going to class, just the fact that somebody will be weighing you will help keep you on the straight and narrow. I would suggest that you try and get hold of a set of slimming world starter packs or something to you have the basics on hand! You could also try https://www.slimmingworld.com for a sample menu!
You can start Thursday or when ever suits you. You don't have to tell us how much you weigh and you don't even have to tell us if you have lost or gained if you don't want to! You may find it helpful to post your menu everyday and somebody should be able to tell you if you are on the right path or not!
See you later!
