    Afternoon all!!

Hi Kandi Pandi!! :hello: Good luck tracking down the smell Marion - I had a similar problem in my bedroom a few years ago, washed the carpet god knows how many times, cleaned out the wardrobes/cupboards etc - drove myself mad trying to find the smell - turned out to be a cheap pair of shoes I'd bought out of Primark which had never even been worn?! Although, unless you're very random and keep shoes in the fridge - I'm not sure that's likely to be your problem! :rotfl:

I wouldn't tell your visitor either - not until she's leaving anyway! You might just manage to convert her - especially with all your lovely meal plans!!

    xx

No I don't keep my shoes in there but my phone went missing once and it was in the fridge! Must have put it away with the milk:o:o. Anyway I have taken everything out, all the shelves, washed everything down inside with stardrops and baking soda, put a bowl of baking soda inside and it still smells this morning  I have sniffed every single thing in the fridge and can not figure where it is coming from. It is a really terrible dead mouse sort of smell:mad:

Any ideas - other than buying a new fridge:rotfl:I have had this one for over 20 years so I guess it could do with being replaced. In fact my daughter said that if thats what it takes to get rid of the smell she would buy one for me - so wait - why and I trying to get rid of the smell!!!:rotfl:

    Love

Marion - feel cheeky suggesting this but.....have you cleaned the seal - it could be some skanky bits stuck in there?

My boys spilled milk in my seal once (its like a concertina) without telling me  and it took me ages to discover where the pong was from.

Oh dear - I had better run and check the seal :rotfl::rotfl:- nope it is ok! I have now taken all the cheese out and put it in the back porch where it will stay chilled. Will see if that helps although I have sniffed them all and they don't smell like dead wildlife:o

And I have company coming tomorrow evening for a week - she will think I have a dirty house!

Hi everyone. crap_with_money - thank you for wishing me luck - my ankle was fine and I got sweaty!!! In a good way.:j Am v pleased.

BB - well done on staying the same after your week. Hang in there dude!

Have been reading all our posts about getting on the scales however many times. I got REALLY obsessed with them a while ago - was getting on them all the time. In the end I decided to throw them away, but felt like I was throwing away my safety net. It got so ridiculous in the end I had to ask my husband to put them inthe dustbin, I couldn't bring myself to do it. :rotfl:

This is something I think we all do, its the first thing i do every morning (after a quick trip to the loo first so Im lighter ).

I got up through the night a few weeks ago (with a bad cold) and automatically got on the scales at 4am ish.
    That is just crazy!!!!

If it appears i have lost i get more complacent im sure if i have not lost i get annoyed and eat!

I think i will put them away tonight. Its not easy though.......

Weighing ourselves I know is a big no no and our consultant is always telling us off if we accidently say - I lost on my scales :rotfl::rotfl:!

I do weigh myself every morning - preferably post poo:o but then that is it! I have made the mistake of weighing myself once in a while in the evening and find that I will quite easily put on around 5 lb during the day. I do suffer from water retention and take a tablet every morning for it but it still is too depressing looking at the scales in the evening! The other problem with water retention is that I am up minimum 3 times a night (1:30. 3:30 and 5:45) going to the loo, so I never really get a good solid nights sleep. I sort that problem out by having a nice afternoon nap most days:D:beer:

    Morning all,

Hope that you don't mind me posting. I'm feeling a bit fed up with Slimming World and I only joined on Tuesday!!
I have been doing weight watchers on and off for the last year but over the last couple of months have been more off than on, i've managed to gain a stone too! So thought that a change would do my good, i've done slimming world before so know the basics but joined a class and have all the up to date books.
I don't eat meat so I only do green days, so far i've followed it to the letter but have gained a pound (I know that I shouldn't weigh at home but i'm addicted and would weigh in the middle of the night like someone else said)
I know that its early days but i'm feeling really fed up and wondering if i've done the right thing, I also know that i have to give it a good go before changing back to weight watchers.
Does anyone have any advice? I'm not really exercising, I walk a bit but have 2 young children at home so its a bit tricky, I do spend alot of time running after them though.

This is what I ate yesterday
B 2 slices of wholemeal toast, 2 laughing cow extra lights, tomato's. (healthy b, half healthy a, free)
L Baked potato with beans and salad (free)
D Pasta, cranks pasta sauce, onions and peppers (free, 12.5 syns, free)
Snacks Milk (healthy a) 3 laughing cow extra light (half healthy a) muller, fruit and hifi bar (healthy b)

Sorry this is so long! Any advice would be gratefully received.

Your food plan seems fine alibob, as you say it is too early to be weighing yourself and worrying about it just yet!:rotfl: As you are new to SW and are on the green day plan your body is just adjusting to all that lovely good food you are giving it, it will soon balance itself out with the normal course of things:o. If you continue the way you are going I am sure you will have a loss on Tuesday.
Don't forget that different scales weigh different and the time of day makes a big difference too! Also - Beware of Weekends!!! That is really a big danger time for a lot of us

    Good luck and keep posting!

Thought you guys might like my pancake recipes - I have posted it on the slimming world thread but there may be a couple on here that don't go to that one!

    1 Egg per pancake
2-3 Teaspoons sweetener (depending on own taste)
    3-4 Drops of vanilla essence

First separate the white from the yolk and put into separate bowls, Whisk the egg white until fluffy and add the sweetener, In the other bowl add the vanilla essence then fold the yolk into the egg white
Heat a frying pan with frylight, add the mix and spread as you would a normal pancake after a few mins flip over (But do be careful they are much more delicate than a regular pancake) And then Hey presto scrummy syn free pancakes

You could add cinnammon, strawberries or fruits of the forest as an alternative once cooked. I always add blueberrys with a spoonful of creme fraiche (low fat of course) and drizzle a tbsp of blueberry syrup over the top for a treat!

    :D
