Have been reading all our posts about getting on the scales however many times. I got REALLY obsessed with them a while ago - was getting on them all the time. In the end I decided to throw them away, but felt like I was throwing away my safety net. It got so ridiculous in the end I had to ask my husband to put them inthe dustbin, I couldn't bring myself to do it. :rotfl:

    Hee hee

It doesn't matter how much you pay for your bathroom scales, there's no way they can be as good as the ones in your group!

SW scales are insured for £350+ and are self-calibrating. If you stand on one leg, leaning far to the right, they'll still weigh the same :D whereas normally, home scales weigh differently on different surfaces and if you stand more to the front/back/side (you get the drift?).

Honestly, bite the bullet and put your bathroom scales in the loft, in the back of OH's car or anywhere you can't get at them - you'll do so much better if you don't obsess.

Trust the SW plans, follow them to the letter and you cannot fail to lose weight. Ok, it may be slower than you would wish, but if you never feel deprived and you're never hungry, it's not hard to live with, is it?
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

    Hi there,

Well weigh day was onsaturday and i have gained 1 pound. I'm not really surpised - it was a rubbish week. However, i have since been back on track and had a lovely valentines meal (home cooked) and some wine with OH yesterday. I count down from 105 syns per week, and find that works for me. So, yesterday was 40 syns, and today is 9.5 so far.

I'm going out for tea with OH and the outlaws, but it will be a roast, or something healthy, so nothing to worry about there as it will be mostly, if not all, free food.

So, I'm feeling more positive and will have a good week. We've got all our menus plannd and its all tasty SW friendly stuff, so bring on the weight loss! I'm aiming for 1.5 pounds, and still home to have lost a stone (cuently 6.5 pounds) by the end of March.

    Speak soon,

    Ali

Northernlass, if you're a meat fan, then they do a mixed grill which is obviously free! It can be a bit mixed though, I've had it a few times and it's been lovely, and then another time it was rotten! Suppose it just depends who makes it

I'm pleased to be reporting in with a 2lb loss this week, despite the valentines blow out and distinct lack of diet! That makes 4lbs this month, and I'd ideally like 7 off before the end of the month, so 12 days to go and 3 lbs to shift....

    Better get cracking!!

Well done on the amazing losses Spat! - You're an inspiration to us all!! And welcome back MIT!!

    xx
