  • big decision in the mouse household. I have decided not to go to SW classes anymore. I can't really justify the amount I am spending there each week (on fees and hi fi bars) and although the consultant is v lovely I haven't really progressed at all and feel a failure when i don't lose or put on. I will be keeping to SW plan though (I have the books and know what I am meant to be doing) and of course I have this lovely thread for support. I have decided that I am not doing enough sport so intend to up that as I do love sport . Have just ordered a couple of Taebo DVDs (Billy Blanks -he is sooooooooo good) (thank goodness for Bingoport Amazon vouchers) and will be doing those in addition to my tennis playing and wii fit. I am also going to carry on going to the Taebo class at my gym and also the gym as well as I am paid up to beginning of May.

Can I be taken off the spread sheet as really I am in my mind starting again but I will report in with my losses (not sure if i will weigh myself weekly or fortnightly).

Good morning everyone! Yesterday was my second day of being 100% - I think 3 days is my record so we shall try for a record breaking whole week!:j So the eating is fine but the fields around here are all flooded so not taking Charlie out on long walkies because not sure if he can swim or not :rotfl:!

    Yesterday I had:
Breakfast - bacon and eggs with grilled tomatoes and 2 slice wholemeal nimble toasted (free, free and 5 syns)

    milk in coffee (HEA)

Lunch - roast veg - peppers, onions, garlic and baby tomatoes - cooked in 1 tblsp olive oil served on top of a big bowl of cous cous (free, free, HEB, free)

Dinner - George Forman grilled chicken thighs with peas and carrots and 300g of mcCains rustic oven chips (free, free,3 syns) I asked my butcher to skin and bone them for me - saves me the work and he does a much more efficient job at it than I do!

My normal raspbberries and yogurt and meringue for dessert (free, 2.5 syns)

I must say I really am feeling pleased with myself :D

    Love
    Marion

  • Oh sorry about that i just assumed that if you had a 3rd superfree foods then the other 2 3rds would be split the same way..i stand corrected sorry if my comments confused anyone :A .

I'm permanently confused anyway, so don't worry about me :rotfl:

You can split your plateful of food that way if you want to, but it's not mandatory. The whole thing about Slimming World really is that you make your own choices and that there's loads to choose from.
I let my mind wander and it never came back!
  • Welcome to our little group stressedoutmum. That is the good thing about SW plan, you never go hungry! Its nice that your sister is going to help you out by weighing you every week. If you are not going to class, just the fact that somebody will be weighing you will help keep you on the straight and narrow. I would suggest that you try and get hold of a set of slimming world starter packs or something to you have the basics on hand! You could also try www.slimmingworld.com for a sample menu!
You can start Thursday or when ever suits you. You don't have to tell us how much you weigh and you don't even have to tell us if you have lost or gained if you don't want to! You may find it helpful to post your menu everyday and somebody should be able to tell you if you are on the right path or not!

    See you later!

I agree with Marion on this one you really should try and get hold of the packs as there is so much info in them that if you dont have them you could be missing out of lots of things.
I know its not ethical but the best way to get them is to actually join a group for the first session and get them that way you also get the plan explained to you which is a big help, lots of people buy them off ebay but they are so much more expensive off there, itll cost you £9.50 to get everything you need at group as it is still half price membership at the moment, its just a thought.
Welcome to you anyway, we are a smal but good bunch on here and will do our utmost to support you.

  • Well hello, and welcome to Primula and Stressedoutmum!! :hello:

Bit of a mixed week for me, started Monday with a 2lbs loss, stuck to the plan all day - then had a blow out on sweeties on Monday night (Bad - but they were damn good!! ;):D ).

Then yesterday, I didn't really eat very much at all (for me anyway!):

    b: Yoghurt + Banana
    l: sandwich and some grapes
    d: soup

and that was me! I usually have bigger dinners, but just wasn't in the mood last night! I was a wee bit hungry by bed time, but I just had a fizzy drink and went to bed and that seemed to do the trick! I could of course, just have had some food, but I don't really like eating late at night!

The gym has fallen by the way side since Sunday, since for some reason I've been utterly exhausted!! But I had a mammoth sleep last night, and woke up feeling great! :D So I'll be heading to legs, bums and tums tonight!!

As for food, since the gym class is an awkward time (7pm), I've reversed lunch and dinner:

    b: yoghurt + banana
l: Marshalls Maca Cheese with mushrooms, onions and tomatoes chucked in (3 syns + 1/2 HEA as I made it with milk and 3 syns worth of Flora Light)
    d: Soup

And hopefully I won't need any snacks - but there's always some sugarfree jelly there if the need arises!!

    xx

    PS Well done Penguin!! That's fabby-doo news!! :T :A :j

PPS I had a wee sneaky peek on the scales this morning (norty I know, but ;) )- and I'm another 1lb down on what I was on Monday - fingers crossed it stays that way! (Or at least goes down if it needs to move at all!!)
