hiya northern lass - with superfoods, SW have said on their website it's preferable that there is 1/3 superfoods, but not mandatory.

falady - that's cool - 7 weeks to holiday for both of us and 7 pounds off - let's see how we get on! :)

Plan for the Way Forward I am going to change the way I do things a bit and see if that helps. I think that EE is a brilliant plan but I think the thing is when you are on Red or Green and you play around with the diet abit you will still lose weight. If you are on EE you can not play around with it - if you do you will gain weight! Simple as really! I have been playing around with it and got my fingers well and truly burned:o:p

Instead of posting my menu plans on here in advance, I will post the following morning a synopsis of what I actually ate - instead of what I planned on eating! Generally speaking I do follow my plans 100%, however there are always a few extras that get put in that I promptly forget all about and then get surprised when I get on the scales, although I do sometimes get flashbacks about it - especially when the consultant asks if I have been 100% and I say yes:rotfl::o:o

Thanks for all the support guys

    Love

yes, it really cheered me up...has also given me great motivation to try and lose more..

i am seeing my parents on the 26th and havnt seen them since xmas day so im hoping they will notice a big difference..

i went shopping on sat and bought a jacket which is 2 chest sizes smaller than the last one i got. i also, bought some jeans in new york in summer but once i got home, i realised they were far too small. anyway, i tried them on on saturday for the first time since and they were too big!! i was so happy. im now wearing them with a belt and smiling away...all of this has been great motivation

Looking at your menu above Ali, i cant see any super free foods on any of your meals, EE is about having a 3rd of your plate original a 3rd green and a 3rd superfree foods according to consultant31. Please correct and forgive me Ali if you just havnt wrote all your veg down.

That's not quite right NL - it doesn't matter how much green and red foods you have, but it is recommended (though not compulsory) that one third of the plate is superfree foods.

If you find your weight loss is very slow (if you're near target for instance) then the recommendation is to have up to ½ your plate as superfree food.
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

Hey Spat - well done:T :T on getting in those jeans! Isn't it a brilliant feeling. Glad you are doing ok after the accident as well. make sure you rest enough (unlike me - keep messing my foot up after tearing a ligament in my ankle because I keep doing 'one more thing')

And Retiredlady - thanks for posting about your gain - we all have weeks like that (or months depending on how long we let it go on for;) ). You have done so brilliantly - and are a bit of an inspiration on this thread - so don't be de-railed...or too hard on yourself.

WI day tomorrow for me...IF we're not knee-deep in snow again. Its seriously snowing here at the moment.

Oh sorry about that i just assumed that if you had a 3rd superfree foods then the other 2 3rds would be split the same way..i stand corrected sorry if my comments confused anyone :A .

  • Daily eating plan - yesterdays!

Good morning everyone, and thanks to everyone for their positive comments!

I had my first perfect day yesterday following the SW plan in a long long time. I used the SW diary on their site and not even a coffee passed my lips without being put down. It was a shock to me to realise how badly I had been following things and thinking that I was being perfect. Next weeks weigh in should be interesting:beer::j

    So yesterday I had:

Breakfast - had at class after weigh in so this meal isn't a very good one:o - 1 hi-fi bar (HEB) to kellogs cereal bars (9 syns:eek:) an apple and a banana (free) plus may as well put my milk in here for the day (HEA)

Lunch - Homemade leek and potato soup with left over chopped up turkey roast stirred in to it and a muller light (free)

Dinner - Chicken breasts cooked with rice, bamboo shoots, brown lentils, sweetcorn, peas and soya beans. Flavoured with soya sauce, worcestershire sauce and chinese spices. (all free)
Later I had raspberries with 0% total and a raspberry mullerlight.

I started getting the nibble around 10 so I went to bed!:T:o

So breakfast was a bit pants really but I stayed within my syn allowance and did not have anything I did not write down - so yay me!:j:j:beer:

Oh i really miss the SW website, it actually makes me think  about joining online but i really cant afford the fees anymore.

Anyway my day yesterday was going really well until i came in from work at 9.15pm and ate a yum yum and a bar of chocolate with a cup of tea. I berated myself afterwards but thats no use the damage has already been done. So another day here we come...then this happened this morning.

I bought myself some body fat analysing scales and was so shocked when i stood on them, now i know im over weight by an awful lot but thats just a figure you see everytime you step on the scales it doesnt actually tell you anything but i found out my body is made up of 57.1% fat (obese is 32%) healthy is 21-25% and water 31.1% healthy is 42-52% so my stats are not looking good.

I have spent some time this morning really thinking about what i have actually done to myself, i have young children to look after, i want to live to see my grandchildren grow up i never wanted to be the fat parent at the school gates but i am and i have to do something about it, no messing about now i have to be serious because my health is in serious trouble if i dont.
Im gonna try and limit my time on my computer as i sit in front of it for far too long when i could be doing something more constructive like cleaning the windows, which will help with my excersise too, i am going to meal plan with the kids so we all have a say in what we eat instead of me saying you WILL eat that and im gonna go full steam ahead with my walking again (i only stopped because of the weather).

So once again this is the first day of my new life, i know i have said this a thousand times before but the difference this time is i mean it, those stats scared the hell out of me.
