Ok so I got on the scales and it wasn't as bad as I thought. I did put on +2lbs but it could've been so much worse.
Today I have eaten:
No brekkie as I rushed out the house this morning
HM Pea and Ham Soup for lunch with a muller lite (guess this ok on EE??)
HM Quorn and lentil chilli for dinner with cheese on top (HEA)
I also had a M & S praline bar so not too sure how many syns in that.
I will snack tonight on 2 x Dark Rye Ryvita (HEB??) with Quark mixed with a tsp of lemon curd (1.5 syns)
Pops I am 30 this year too, but not until September and am determined to be down to goal by then!Savings: £25000.00/£40000 by Jan 010 Weight: 9/14lbs by 15 May 09 Fitness: going ok0 -
Aw thank you! I've seen how supportive everyone is to each other on here so I knew it was the right place to come! I will keep trying - even though I seem to be starting another cold today - boo!
Right, it is on - I AM going to do this and have a great 2009. Turning 30 in a few weeks so going to make sure that is fab too!
ive read with interest how you always seem to have a cold, well that was me last year and i read about taking vit c and zinc, i started to take them and it boosted my immune system no end, i did overdose on them to start with to get them into my system, but i feel great now and havnt had a sniffle since before christmas( i think) its worth giving it ago.
I had my pre op assessment today and everything went well, i was given a date for the Op 30 April so a few months to lose as much weight as i can and im determined to this time. i have no excuse except laziness and i hold my hands up to it.
i will plan a weeks worth of meals tonight and try and stick to it at least for 5/6 days out of 7 but will stick to the plan at least 90%, i always stray somewhere especially with not having the site password anymore so cant check syns as readily as i used too. Tomorrow IS the first day of the rest of my life..There i said it and it feels wonderful. The days of kidding myself are over, im having a large operation in a few months and want to come out of it at the other end i have children who need me and i wont let them down or myself...DFW red and green memberDoing my best to lose weight and save money0 -
Evening everyone. Well I weighed in today and am VERY chuffed to have lost 1.5 lbs. This may not sound huge, but having not been out of the house for a week (first time out properly was today, very carefully tippy-toeing my way to the car across the ice with the two eldest in tow) cos of messed up ankle, am so pleased!! :j You ladies who told me that following the eating plan I would still lose weight even without my usual exercise were spot on - thanks for the encouragement!
Of course messed up this evening though. We had a power-cut and so the fish and SW chips that my well trained OH was cooking were only half done - and we were all freezing...so I went to the fish and chip shop...... :rotfl: worth every syn though! Back on the wagon tomorrow.Onward and upward - with the odd step to the side

Daily eating plan Good morning all, OH got the pavements outside the house and a path to the garage shovelled and salted so I may just make an excursion outside today. Starting to feel a little housebound and it has only been 3 days! Wouldn't make a very good Scott of the Antarctic would I?:rotfl: On a positive note I havn't spent any money:T
Today I have planned:
Breakfast - bran flakes with milk and strawberries (heb, hea, free)
Lunch - bacon & eggs with hashbrowns (free, free, 3 syns)
Dinner - pasta layer bake (sort of like lasagna but with layers of boiled fusilli instead of lasagna sheets) with brocolli and cauliflower on the side. (Can you tell I ran out of lasagna :rotfl:)
I really need to work on my portion control because I have weighed myself again (I know I shouldn't) and I am not losing anything. Maybe I should come off the EE plan, but I do love it so much, I don't really want to:p. But according to SW I shouldn't need to worry about portions, and its not that I eat HUGE portions, just the same as the rest of the family and they are all normal size:j.
What do you think?
Love

Marion, did you know that it's recommended that you have at least a third of your plate made up of superfree food with EE?
The notes to Consultants suggest that if a member is having problems losing weight with EE (or is near target and therefore the going is slow) they may need to switch to half a plate of superfree foods!
Maybe you could get a larger plate to allow for all the extra veg :rotfl: :rotfl:I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
Good morning Marion
Ive had a few negative comments from some of the girls i used to go to group with about EE, since christmas non of them have lost weight like they used to on O and G and one hasnt lost at all, it sounds like a great plan for maintaining your weight but not for losing, i know research has shown that it does work but it might not work for everyone, why dont you go back to O and G for a couple of weeks and see if it makes a difference, you are doing extremely well with your weightloss and we all get fed up if it doesnt come off like we want it too thats when we go off the rails a bit then regret it.
Im doing R&G from today starting with a green day.
i found a great little website while brousing last night, that is full of SW recipes and loads of oher stuff
www.!!!!!!!!!!!!!/monkeypieface/index.htm.... It wont let me put the actual url on as a link but it is all the w's. !!!!!!!!!!!!!/monkeypieface/index.htm (no spaces), the exclamation marks should read FREE WEB as one word in lowercase, this is getting rediculous...
Im going to make the
. Butternut Squash & Mixed Pepper Soup
Syns per Serving | Green & Original - Syn Free
Servings | 6
Ingredients
- 1 large butternut squash
- 500gm frozen sliced mixed peppers
- 2 large onions
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped or 2tsp Very Lazy Garlic
- 2½pt chicken stock made with chicken Bovril
- pinch of mixed herbs
- black pepper
Method
1. Peel, deseed and dice the butternut squash & peel and roughly chop the onion.
2. Meanwhile, simmer the frozen mixed peppers in a separate pan for around 5 minutes, until cooked.
3. Add all the ingredients to a large pan, bring to the boil and then simmer for around 20 minutes, or until the squash is soft.
4. Liquidise until smooth, adding more water if too thick. Adjust the seasoning and serve.
Notes
You do not have to be too fussy about the chopping. This soup is good served hot or cold. It will keep refrigerated for about five days & freezes really well.
It sounds really yummy.DFW red and green memberDoing my best to lose weight and save money0 -

Thanks northernlass, I am going to try adding more superfree foods to my plate for another week and see how I get on, if no jou then back to red or green for me! I do think EE is wonderful and I suppose it would be something to go back to when I feel like I need a week of no dieting! When life hands you lemons, ask for tequilla and salt and give me a call!!!0 -
