it's a load of stuff just chucked in really, as I have to go back out to teach.

    It's

    beef
    onion
    courgette
    carrot
    tomatoes
    garlic
    chillies
    oregano
    sweet potato

Tell you what...........the mince I used in the bolognaise last night and I've just had leftovers of just now is very oily.........it'sthe Asda really lean one I always buy and it's swimming in grease. I noticed it last night when I served myself a bowl......hope they haven't upped the fat content in it.

I always rinse my mince in boiling water once it is cooked no matter which one i buy, it still tastes the same and does the same job.:A

Good Morning All, raining and overcast again! Sounds like a good day to be in my bedroom having a good old sort out and seeing what I can take to the charity shop - after I take Charlie to the park of course!;)

I am as usual and probably will be for the rest of my life doing EE!:j

Breakfast - half a pack of quark mixed with a couple of WW prune yogurts and a handful of fresh blueberries spooned onto 5 scan brans. (that should get me going:D) (free, free, free, 2.5 syns)

Lunch - HM bubble & squeak from last nights left over mash & cabbage although I will add some onion, with thick sliced ham and a couple of poached eggs. (free)

Dinner - HM chilli with vegetable rice. May make up a sugar free jelly for later although I am trying to get away from eating in the evenings. I have a big dinner at around 7pm - do I really need to be eating something 2 hours later? No I don't, it is just a habit which I will try get rid of!

Milk in my coffees will be my HEA and will use some parmeson cheese in my vegie rice as a HEB!

    Love
    Marion

Afternoon everyone. I've only just started with Slimming World and would really like some advice about my meal plan for the day. I'll be fine once I get into the swing of things but I'm just getting a bit confused about how I count things up so your help would be really be great.

Breakfast - Bitesize shredded wheat and Alpro soya (sweetened milk)
    Mid-morning - banana
Lunch - !!!!-a-leekie soup (made using the recipe on the SW website) and Muller light Raspberry & Cranberry yoghurt.
Dinner - Roast Chicken and sweet roast vegetables (as per recipe on SW website)

Also snacks of 2 clementines and a pomegranite

Do I need to add anything or change anything and would it be possible for me to have some potatoes with my dinner do you think?

Many thanks in advance for any help or advice you can offer.

Hello LC and welcome. This thread has been very quiet lately I think most of us are now on the slimming world support thread!;)

Not sure what day you are on red/green or extra easy (EE) You have had a heb with your cereal, I am not sure about sweetened soya milk - is that a hea or do you syn it? Your lunch looks like a superfree one so you can easily have an EE day which means yes - you can have as much chicken and potatoes as you like!

Your menu looks fine, I would maybe add a few syns but aside from that looks good!

Many thanks Marion. I found the other thread just after I posted this so posted over there too. It was choosing the day that I was finding difficult to I'll gen up a bit more on the EE then I should know what I can have. Yes the sweetened soya is a heb but you get less. Fortunately I've now bought the unsweetened so I can have 100 ml more.

    Thanks again.

    afternoon :)

Feeling really positive today, although I really don't know why - feel very smiley and 'buzzy'!

    Anyway, food for today:

    b: mullerlight
l: pasta n sauce with skimmed milk and mozzarella (2 x HE)
d: HM egg fried rice with oyster sauce (2 syns)

OH is going to be late tonight, which suits me, I can just have comfort food and he canhave the leftover casserole from last night when he gets in.

  • Me too - although I have stuck my toe in the other thread too - but it seems very busy - almost scarily so - dunno if I'll manage to keep up! ;)

Today hasn't gone so well for me - stayed at OH's last night, so had to go to Tesco for brekkie - I resisted temptation and stuck with my banana and yoghurt! But then lunch happened! :o I met a work colleague for lunch, we were planning on just having a wee bowl of soup, but it was a very cheap lunch menu, and I caved and had a steak sandwich! Not even sure where to start with the syns! it was a very lean steak, on 2 slices of toasted dry wholemeal, bread, so I'm guessing that bit's ok, but there was a red onion chutney on it - which was probably through the roof! I stuck to diet coke, and avoided the side salad since it was drenched in oil - but I guess the chutney will be at least a days worth of syns!! - Ah well

only dinner to get through now! ;) And if I'm feeling really energetic, I might just drag myself along to the gym again!

Hope you're all having a good day!!

    xx

You should be ok with the steak and the bread (free, heb?), the chutney as you say could have quite a few syns - did you have loads? I would count it like a jam syn wise maybe, without knowing the recipe it is hard to say!
Best advice is - it didn't happen, you were a good girl so carry on regardless:D:o
