    Thanks for that Ossi.
It gets to the point where I just wanna eat cos' I'm so ticked off!
I don't want whole raspberries in the mousse, not the texture I'm aiming for, but then I don't want them pureed either (not what I said in the first place anyway!).
In order to do this properly should we be synning the fruit salads too?;)

I really wouldn't worry about the raspberries rugbymum, it isn't as if you are going to be eating gallons of them at every meal! I would prepare them the way you want them and then just carry on regardless! An occasional mashed raspberry is not going to have a negative effect on your weightloss:j

On SW side, I can understand that there have to be rules in place just so people know what they can and can't do. I suppose the crushed or pureed rule for instance would stop people making fruit smoothies - you could drink loads of those in a day and then it would affect your weight loss:eek:

I wouldn't worry about a handful of mashed raspberries - if it were me, I'd think - how many whole ones would I use ? and then just mash them ;)

    For me today:

    b: banana
l: leftover chilli and rice with mozzarella on (2x HE's)
d: steak and kidney casserole with potato, carrot, leeks, peas.

Had to go to a meeting this morning and ate 4 choccy digestives.........don't have the current password so not sure of the syns in them, but i'm pretty certain it's 15 (or over!) in total!

Thanks BB. The point I was trying to make (badly) is that it is possible to get too anal about this whole thing!
I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news but the biccies are 4.5 each. Sorry. But I bet they were really yummy!:D

Ok if I can't mush the raspberries and they still be free then I'm going to kill myself right now.
I'm sorry but that's ridiculous! I'm trying to make an expensive thing go further and you're saying I should syn them? WHY???? I don't get it. I'm not eating them pureed or mashed (technically "crushed", almost spreading if you will, stretching!). Should I chop them instead?
As for the rest it's exactly what I do.

Gosh, please don't do anything drastic, I'm just quoting the rules!

I have always told my members that if you were only going to chop/mash/squish the same amount as you would eat at one sitting then it's probably ok (don't quote me) but some people, given an inch will take a mile, and before you know it will be making and drinking pints of fruit juice/smoothies every day and wondering why they can't lose weight.
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

Just to clarify again ... I was disagreeing about the generalisation of chick peas ground up being syns in BBs post as was completely unaware she was directly referring to the cake till I re-read the post later.. of course I can see the relevance of the cake thing as chick peas are not designed for that purpose. Apologies if I have upset you again consultant31, seems to be a common thing when I try to make a helpful post :(

Upset.........moi?? Think nothing of it, I didn't take any offence - in fact, rereading, I still can't see anything upsetting :)

The whole thing about misuse of food comes up all the time. I can see why people get confused, but there are some very inventive cooks out there :rotfl:

    You forgot the egg whites.

I didn't forget but I couldn't bring myself to eat uncooked egg and anyway, I like it as it is.

  • There we go i have emptied my fridge of all the childrens christmas chocs and sweets (they probably wont even notice), once they are out of site i will not bother with them, its when i know they are there and i keep looking in the fridge that i cant resist.
And i was right, in the week since i put all the chocs in the shed the kids havnt asked for them once, so it just goes to show that out of sight out of mond works.

im going back thru the posts to see what ive missed so there may be a few quotes and questions/answers from me yet:rotfl:
