Daily eating plan - SW extra easy plan
Freezing cold last night and I ended up eating the remains of a large bag of salted peanuts that my husband started and left on the table next to me. Mmm - accident or sabatoge:mad::rolleyes: Mind you nobody forced them down my gullet:rotfl::o!
New day new start - here is what I will have today (hopefully)
Breakfast - oats so simple with blueberries and milk (heb, free, hea) - I know it was the same as yesterday but when it is so cold it just has to be oatmeal!:T
Lunch - Must eat that left over stew from a couple of days ago. Was supposed to have it yesterday but I made the most fabulous Dutch Pea Soup which was so delicious it makes my mouth water just thinking about it. I will have the rest of it tomorrow for lunch (assuming OH doesn't snaffle all of it for lunch today) (free)
Dinner - Lamb hotpot - (should be free now on easy peasy plan:j) will have with roast pumpkin which I just found under my kitchen table (don't ask!)- the pumpkin wasn't roast when I found it you understand!
Not planned any syns yet, no doubt they will find me!

to be honest, I just made it up as a I went along! I chucked in the slow cooker:
onion
chopped peppers
slices of aubergine
tin of tomato
stewing steak
garlic
and Cajun spices
and put the lid on!
hmmmmmmmm, think that was about it, any veg. could be used really and do chicken or pork instead of beef.
today, I'm not sure about dinner yet. OH may be off to watch the football and I have loads of veggies that I want to make into a big mixed blue cheese veg. bake for him (I don't like cheese) with some chicken drumsticks, but Ihaven't decided what I want. If he is out (more than likely), I might just do some SW chips and egg to be honest.
Other than that - today is planned to be
B: WW prune yoghurt and 2 bananas
L: homemade egg fried rice with bacon and spring onion (it was lovely yesterday)possibly just SW chips and egg, maybe some beans!
HEB and HEA will be some porridge and milk this afternoon when I'm getting a bit hungry and I'm going to use a couple of syns on some cherry jam on it."Stay Wonky":D

hought some of you might like this soup recipe, especially with this cold weather we are having!
Dutch Pea Soup - free on extra easy Slimming World
1 lb dried green split peas
6 cups water
4 cups chicken stock
few bits of smoked ham, gammon or bacon
couple of celery sticks including leaves - chopped
couple of leeks chopped
1 large onion chopped
3 large potatoes
2/3 large carrots
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp coarse black pepper
1 glug of hot pepper sauce
1. Prepare the dried peas by combining with the water and bringing to the boil, boil for 5 minutes, remove from heat, cover and leave in water for at least 1 hour. (I used ones I had already cooked and frozen)
2. Add the stock, meat, celery, leeks and onion to the peas and water and bring to the boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer for 1 1/2 hours.
3. Add the potatoes and carrots and cook soup for about 20 minutes, season with the salt an pepper and hot sauce to taste.
4. You can serve the soup as is but I chose to blitz it but left if fairly chunky.
Version 2 - all the ingredients as above but using the peas already prepared from my freezer - I simply chucked everything in my pressure cooker and cooked on high pressure for 15 minutes. Reduce pressure quickly, blitz and serve! When life hands you lemons, ask for tequilla and salt and give me a call!!!0 -
Morning all!!
Good luck for your WI's Penguin and Mickey Mouse!!
Dunno why, but I was feeling seriously sorry for myself last night!! You ever just get fed up of struggling with your weight - and constantly thinking about what you're eating? aaarrrggghh!!
Anyway - although my plans for dinner changed at the last min (boyf unexpectedly came over for dinner after the gym, and there wasn't enough Chops for us both). I was quite pleased with myself, since I managed to throw together a very yummy, SW friendly beef thingy - I kinda modified a Jamie Oliver recipe for "sizzling beef in a black bean sauce" - and it was damn good - even if I do say so myself!
Today so far:
Brekkie - 2 slices WM toast (HEB) spread with Flora Light (Syns?), Natural Yoghurt (Free), 1 pint of water (Free).
Lunch - Homemade Butternut Squash Soup, Mullerlight Yoghurt and Some Fruit (not decided what yet).
Dinner - not sure yet........
Exercise - finally getting back to our Salsa lessons (Providing they're back up and running after Chrimbo)
Had a sneaky go on the scales this morning, not a blind bit of difference so far, but it has only been 2 days..... :rotfl: :rotfl:

I made the Jamie Oliver one last night, which I think is quite SW friendly. Boil up your rice in salted water until cooked. (Having rinsed the rice in cold water to remove the starch before cooking). Then put in in a seive and run it under the cold water to cool it down. Put it in the fridge to dry it out.
Then - spray some fry light in a pan (he recommends groundnut oil, but I just substituted - anyone else have any better suggestions?), pour in a tablespoon of soy sauce, crack an egg into the pan, stirring continuously as the egg scrambled really quickly, then add the rice back into the pan, constantly stirring to keep it from sticking to the sides, frying it 'til it's piping hot - then season with more soy sauce and salt & pepper. You could also add some spring onions or whatever for extra flavour.

Hi - like the beef recipe - I made it up!
this is what I did (am just about to do again!)
Use frlylight in a pan,
Beat a couple of eggs and add to the hot pan, stir and break them up as they cook
Add some soy sauce (few splashes)
Add cold cooked rice (it has to be cold , if it is still hot, the starches react and it get sticky),
Add some chopped spring onion and stir until all heated through.
Add more soy if you want, or oyster sauce. It's something like 1 syn per tbsp.
I'm going to cook some chopped bacon first and omit the oyster sauce. Also going to add in some chopped pak choi at the last minute."Stay Wonky":D
