I cooked a salmon and herb pie which is just like a quiche without the pastry and tried a bit last night and its really yummy its only 1.5 sins on red day, if anyone wants the receipe pls let me know and I'll put it on.
Awww I'm mad I missed that! I saw it advertised in a magazine and meant to watch it. Did she not put on a stupid amount of weight in a really short time though? Like 2 stone in about 6 weeks? If she continued at that rate - I don't imagine it would do your heart much good!!
The pie sounds good - would you mind sticking the recipe if you get the chance?

I that sounds yummy I might try it as the kids will like it. Im just wondering are the syns from the cheese? If so if you have the cheese as a HEA (in fact you could have 42g of red fat cheese) and it would be free. And also the milk as HEA.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
Sounds yummy supamodelwanabe - I think I'll be giving it a go at some point this week!!
Thanks very much0 -
Hi
I'm not actually sure as I can't afford to go to the classes but have just bought some slimming world cook books off ebay.
Any help in that department would be greatly appreciated as I get a bit confused with the HEB's etc.
i don't know how old this book is but all it says at bottom of recipie is
red 1.5 sins
green 12.5
when I did go to the classes some 10 years ago you were not allowed to mix green with red at all, so it sounds like it has really changed now

I know what you mean Supa, I'm going it alone as well, and it takes a while to get your head round it!
As for a general run down of the plan, eat as much free food on either a green or red day as you like, and you can also have 2 Healthy Extra's from the A choice (mostly milk, cheeses etc), and 2 from the B choice (food to keep you healthy as my old consultant explained it, so bread, cereal, etc as well as meat on a green day, or carbs on a red day) - and I work with a max of 10 syns - although I think this varies depending on how much you have to lose?
Obviously there's the new Extra Easy plan, I'm defo not the greatest to be explaining that, as I've only really read what's been mentioned on here. But from what I understand, you cut your healthy extra's down to 1 of each, and you can then have as much free food during that day from either green or red, and as for syns, your allowance remains the same, but if there's a difference in value between the 2, you go with the lowest value.
Does that all sound about right? Feel free to correct me if I've got it a bit wrong!

OMG that extra easy sounds great - it won't feel like your on a diet thanks for all the additional info that really helps
Has anyone tried it on here? are the results as quick as they would be on normal or are they a bit slower?
God that means you could just stuff yourself silly if you wanted to!
God got to stop thinking about lots of food... I've still got half a xmas cake left in the tin its taking a lot of will power not to have any. I work from home and its a nightmare with all this food around. I sometimes wish I worked in an office so at least the temptation wouldn't be there for at least 8 hours a day LOL!
I hit rock bottom last night as I only bought my scales yesterday from argos in their half price sale, my hubby had to try them out and I am now heavier than him by about half a stone I feel so ashamed. I of course didn't get on the scales in front of him I couldn't bear the humiliation!
Hom Hum... 1 year from now I hope I might have at least reached half of my target loss
Got to keep positive +++0 -

yes, that's right. They are also recommending a third of your plate is full of superfree vegetables (ie free on either red or green) but it's not mandatory. The plan has literally been launched this week, so apart from the consultants who have been trialling it, there are no real results yet.
For me today - day 6 on EE
b: WW Prune yoghurt and a banana (free)
l: Homemade egg fried rice with bacon, pak choi and spring onion (free)
d: Cajun beef with onion, pepper, aubergine and tomatoes with pasta. Doign the beef in the slow cooker.
I did sneak on the scales this morning and there is a loss :T . I'm hoping by weigh in on Thursday morning it will be a bit more as it is week 1 and I've got soooooooooo much to lose, but if it stays as it is, then so be it."Stay Wonky":D
