  • I hit rock bottom last night as I only bought my scales yesterday from argos in their half price sale, my hubby had to try them out and I am now heavier than him by about half a stone I feel so ashamed. I of course didn't get on the scales in front of him I couldn't bear the humiliation!

Hom Hum... 1 year from now I hope I might have at least reached half of my target loss

    Got to keep positive +++

Retired lady's right - and just be proud of the fact you're doing something about it - most people don't even get that far! And at least now you know the truth and are in control of the situation!

The good thing about Slimming World is that as long as you eat the right kind of food, you can eat as much as you like! So you shouldn't ever be going hungry! And whatever your favourite fatty food is, there'll be someone on here with an alternative healthier version - that usually tastes pretty decent!

One of my reasons for losing weight is
    An operation,
    Feeling more confident
So I can ride (horses) again
So I can wear clothes that are modern and fun, not frumpy and cover everything up
So I can sit comfortably on the ickle chairs in class
So I can get down to a healthy BMI (boring!)
So I feel confident when I take my clothes off (sorry, bit rude, but it's true)
So I can fit into my clothes without the addition of extreme muffin top
So I can play ring a ring a roses with my 2 toddlers without needing an inhaler
so although I can run round a tennis court for a few hours no probs I want to do it faster and without carrying so much weight on my joints
To squeeze into my bridesmaid dress, without looking like a heffalump next to the minute bride-to-be and her even smaller sister
So I can go swimming without hearing the words Moby !!!!!!

we can also start a list for reasons NOT to lose weight and mine would have to be,
    Cant afford new clothes
Easy to stay where I am!!
Too lazy to cook 'proper' food

people think I'm bubbly and happy, so what's the problem?
i lurve chocolate and all things bad for me
My DH loves my cuddly bits (two cuddly bits in particular!)
I've got a man who loves how I look anyway
I want to keep what little I have in my bra:rolleyes:
I get stretch marks when I lose weight, i have enough already thank you!!
what is another choc bar going to hurt
I don't have the patience - when I start dieting, I get frustrated that the weight isn't all gone in a week - especially when I've been soooo good?! ;)

Disgusting wrinkly skin on tummy sit-ups will never shift

crapwithmoney - your plan for today sounds really good.

For lunch i had SW coleslaw (redcabbage, celery, carrot, chillis cut up all mixed together with fat free fromaige frais) and a jacket potato. an orange

    snack -one hifi bar

    for dinner I am having
    lamb with brussells and brocolli.
I will save my syns for just in case i am tempted by a biscuit when i go to my craft group later.

This sounds yummy I might try when I've been shopping.

An average day for me, but not disastrous. I am trying to use food up that I have without straying too far off plan.

I think I will definately be investing in a slow cooker NorthernLass - I came home from work tonight and just couldnt face waiting 3 hours for tea! I am having spag bol tonight instead and will make the stew tomorrow!

Hope everyone is ok - well done to all the losers so far! My weigh in is tomorrow morning - have done extra easy for 7 days now so will see what the results are for tomorrow! x x

Hi all, I have a question for you experts out there :D

Am I allowed to save up my syns through the week for maybe a special meal at the weekend
Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches

You used to be able to do this but now SW suggests that it is better to plan the syns and keep track of them on your special night out and then continue to have your regular syn allowance the rest of the week. They reckon this works better. I have done it and it does seem to work. I planned an extra 100:eek: syns for a party, kept track of everything I had and the next day had my normal syns. You still feel in control that way! I did lose that week also!
