I can relate to virtually all of the above- great list everyone

I agree and I think almost everything on the list would apply to me too! For me it isn't the issue of why I want to lose weight. The big issue for me was why I put on an excess 19 stone to start with! But I am dealing with those demons and I am losing the weight. However I sometimes still regress and struggle but I must say the support on these forums is terrific. Just reading of others trimphs and tribulations is a help:o

I have been watching "Biggest Loser" on tv and that programme is so inspiring - some of the weight losses are amazing. I know they have help and work out all day but they still have to do it.

    today my brekkie was
cuppa , grapes and blueberries with a Mullerlite yoghurt on top.
Prob have jacket spud with SW coleslaw on top for lunch. Not sure about dinner yet

Morning all - last day before weigh in today. Have only had an orange so far - I really need to get breakfasts sorted out!

Will be having a ham salad sandwich for lunch and making beef stew for tea - only problem is it takes 3 hours to cook so need to make sure I dont nibble on anything while I am waiting!

Good Luck to anyone who has weigh in today x x

    Hi Penguin83,
if you like stews why dont you invest in a slow cooker? i use mine all the time when trying to lose weight and with the extra easy plan you dont even have to worry about your HB choices it all goes straight in the pot. I put a Lamb stew on to cook when i went to bed last night and the aromas in my house when i woke up this morning were great, its now cooked and on keep warm setting till lunch time or whenever the fancy takes me which will probably be before lunchtime and i can then eat it till my hearts content.

  • Morning all!!

Well - I dunno about the rest of you, but what a struggle it was for me yesterday!! I was fine until I got home last night, when I swear, I couldn't stop thinking about Chocolate!! It's so hard the first couple of days of trying to cut out the crap, especially when you've been eating rubbish solidly for about 3 weeks!!

Anyway - although I did manage to stay away from the Chocolate and crisps (I'm vowing not to have any chocolate/crisps/sweets/desserts/alcohol for the month of January) - I did have a few Crackerbreads and a glass of milk more than I should have! - Which has probably taken my syns away over what they should've been! Especially since we SW Maca Cheese for dinner, which had 6 syns in it as it was!! Ah well - today's a new day and all that!! And I did survive a Spin Class last night - which for me is a HUGE achievement!!

Today, I've dragged my backside out of bed early enough to have breakfast, for the second day in a row!! :A :T Again, I had 2 slices WM toast, spread with extra light Flora (HEB, + ?Syns), plus Natural Yoghurt (Free) and Fruit - orange, pineapple and Grapefruit (Free)

Lunch will be some homemade Butternut Squash Soup

Dinner..... Again TBA, depending on what mum decides to cook......

Then tonight I'll be going to a Step class, and an Abs and Core Class, then for a swim/Sauna (this being poor in January m'larky, doesn't half help with the motivation to go to the gym!!)

    xx

What channel's it on MM? I haven't heard of it?

  • God I'm thick - didn't realise you were all adding to the same list and thought everyone was poorly and needed operations... will think of some to add.

:rotfl: :rotfl: That made me laugh out loud too SS - good work! :D
  • One of my reasons for losing weight is
    An operation,
    Feeling more confident
So I can ride (horses) again
So I can wear clothes that are modern and fun, not frumpy and cover everything up
So I can sit comfortably on the ickle chairs in class
So I can get down to a healthy BMI (boring!)
So I feel confident when I take my clothes off (sorry, bit rude, but it's true)
So I can fit into my clothes without the addition of extreme muffin top
So I can play ring a ring a roses with my 2 toddlers without needing an inhaler
so although I can run round a tennis court for a few hours no probs I want to do it faster and without carrying so much weight on my joints
To squeeze into my bridesmaid dress, without looking like a heffalump next to the minute bride-to-be and her even smaller sister

we can also start a list for reasons NOT to lose weight and mine would have to be,
    Cant afford new clothes
Easy to stay where I am!!
Too lazy to cook 'proper' food

people think I'm bubbly and happy, so what's the problem?
i lurve chocolate and all things bad for me
My DH loves my cuddly bits (two cuddly bits in particular!)
I've got a man who loves how I look anyway
I want to keep what little I have in my bra:rolleyes:
I get stretch marks when I lose weight, i have enough already thank you!!
what is another choc bar going to hurt
I don't have the patience - when I start dieting, I get frustrated that the weight isn't all gone in a week - especially when I've been soooo good?! ;)

The "Biggest Loser" is on Sky on the Real Life people channel at 9.00pm. It is only on about 3rd week of the series so you wouldn't have missed too much. It seems to be on every night.

  • Hi Ladies

I popped on yesterday for the first time and have been trying to catch up on all rcent posts.

I can relate to all of the reasons why and why not too.

It made me chuckle this morning on GMTV claire sweeny was being interviewed and she was talking about how she "ballooned up to a size 14 and that her doctior had told her she was being irresponsible and putting her health at serious risk - yeah right- i dream of being a size 14 again I couldn't beleive she was saying that at a size 14 it could shorten your life and lead to diabetes.

Well i got on the scales this morning and somehow I have lost 5lbs since yesterday - i didn't think that was possible in 24 hours (the only different thing I did was weigh myself yesterday afternoon and I weighed myself first thing this morning - whatever has happened I'm extremely chuffed and in a good mood to start my second day of dieting. Only another 10 stone 13 lbs to go.. wasn't so bad when I typed it quickly!

I cooked a salmon and herb pie which is just like a quiche without the pastry and tried a bit last night and its really yummy its only 1.5 sins on red day, if anyone wants the receipe pls let me know and I'll put it on.

well must go and get on with some work in stead of day dreaming about chocolate
