Come on in Spud - more the merrier.

Now this is going to seem like a stupid question but how do I make an onion omelette. I love them but have never made one before - I know its shocking that I dont know this!

Do I just beat 1 or 2 eggs in a bowl and then put it in a frying pan with some onion and fry light or is that wrong? Do I have to turn like a pancake? x x

Penguin, soften the onion by cooking it in the fry light first for 4-5 minutes.

Beat the eggs, add any herbs and add to the pan with the onion. When it is cooked on one side, you can turn it, or if you want the middle soft, just flp one side onto the other so you have a half moon shape and pop it on the plate.

I love doing slices of cooked potato and then add egg, chopped chillies and chopped coriander.

penquin the beauty of omelettes is that you can make them however you like! If I was making an onion omelette for myself I would gently fry the onions first so they go all soft and sweet, then pour the whisked eggs (I use 3) and pour over the onions. You can then let it cook whilst gently lifting the sides so the liquid runs underneath and cooks or you can let it cook for a few minutes and then fold the whole thing in half or you can let it cook for a few minutes then stick it under the grill!
For an extra fluffy omelette you can seperate the eggs and beat the egg whites till they are nice and fluffy then fold the beaten egg yolks back in:D

    Either way - enjoy

Oh no not the chocolate (although it is much preferable to cat food!)

I think part of my problem is that I haven't been playing rugby this year because of an injury, but I am back at training this week yipee!

I actually like Quark mixed with Nutella and spread on Ryvita. I'm not sure I can risk buying a jar at the moment though as I have been known to just dip my fingers straight in there and before you know it the jar is empty

I am trying to decide if I will go back to a class, do it online or try and go it alone (with the help of you guys of course!). Decisions, decisions...

P.S LouiseJ could you add me to the spreadsheet thingymebob please, just 14lbs to start me thinks. Thanks
