  • I have managed to lose about 7 1/2 stone so far and many times it has been a case of one step forward two steps back :rotfl:, however I have plodded on with it - I think SW calls it taking the scenic route:rotfl:!

 Well done Marion - scenic route or otherwise - that's a phenomenal loss!! I have friends who weigh that much!! It's unbelieveable to think you've lost the equivalent a (ok, very small) person!! You must be so proud of yourself!! :T :A You're an inspiration to us all - hopefully some of your determination will rub off across the cyber waves!!

Here's to some more big losers for 2009!!

  • Hello all!
I've lost my way a little bit over Christmas. Could one of you lovely people please pm me the lifeline online password?
    Thanks in advance.

  • RIGHT!

Here I am for the bloody umpteenth time.

I have taken the last couple of weeks to talk myself into what I need to do and tomorrow being the day to start. I am going to weigh myself today (ARGH! Haven't done that since October) and however bad it is, I am just going to draw a line under it as of today and start tomorrow.

I am going to lose 1 stone by the end of January and then the second stone by the 26 March when I go on holiday.

No sighs, no grumbles, no excuses. I am going to do it. I have more weight to lose than many people weigh in the first place and I need to realise that I am worth more than I am doing to myself.

I saw a programme about obesity a couple of weeks back and it said for every 8kg lost, adds a year onto your life expectancy. I have a HUGE fear of death and still treat my body like a dustbin. So, I've worked out that getting to my target weight will add something like 9 years to my life expectancy, so I have to stop - now.

(ok, after the drinks and takeaway to see in the New Year tonight!)

BB I am going to re-start the Spreadsheet starting tomorrow ( I will carry forward losses for existing participants) for anyone new who wants to join in. I wont be going to SW group anymore but will be shedding some pounds and trying to tone up.

Anyone who wants adding to the spreadsheet tracker needs to send me their initial target (doesnt have to be your end target) I will track your progress weekly as you shed those lbs:D

Come one everyone 2009 is our year:beer: :j
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.
  • right. I'm off to weigh myself.

I feel sick at the prospect.

  • well, that was interesting. I'm no heavier than when I last weighed myself in October and only 6 pounds heavier than 1 Jan 2008.

In a bizarre way, I'm quite pleased with that.

I will PM you my first target Lou if you would add me to the sheet please?

I had my first weigh in after christmas yesterday and I have gained 2lbs - which in fairness I was quite pleased with considering how much I ate!

Straight back on it though so hoping to lose that 2lbs next week.

Good morning everyone - hope the New Year has started well for everyone. I had a good time at home last night with family. We did a buffet with plenty of syns and we all ate too much and drank too much and had a great time. We put on the Mama Mia dvd with the song words subtitles and had a great sing and dance along:j:beer::T

But I am now finished with the celebrations, it was nice while it lasted, however in all honesty I am looking forward to getting back to plan and structuring my eating better!

    Today I am having:

Breakfast: egg on toast with sliced gammon - (free, heb, free)

Lunch - Roast beef, jacket potato, carrots, cauliflower, yorkshire pud & a dribble of gravy - (free + 6 syns)

Dinner - a bit of leftover SW meatloaf from the freezer served with any left over veg from lunch. Slice of apple pie with icecream:o - 15 syns estimated?

The syns sound a little high but I am allowed 20 a day since I still have a lot to lose. I don't normally use them all although my consultant is always telling me to do so! That pie is the last piece of Christmassy food left in the house so I might as well clear it out now so it won't be calling out to me everytime I walk past the freezer:D

    Love
    Marion
