Crap_with_money.com, if you can't afford to go to the wedding, don't go! Family or not, in the current climate, spending £1500 you can't afford is barmy IMO.........what if you lose your job??
Sorry, not wanting to be alarmist but anything can happen and it's an awful lot of money. As for the dress, well, I'm trying to see a good side, but it's not easy/ If you feel uncomfortable in it and don't like either the colour or the style, what's the point? In any case, isn't dark purple a strange colour for a hot climate?
In short, no, I don't think you're being unreasonable, I think the bride is out of line buying a dress without your approval!I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
Morning everyone - here is my plan for the day:
Breakfast - oats so simple, milk, blueberries and a pear (heb, hea. free)
Lunch - Lentil & vegetable soup with scanbrans & reduced fat egg mayonnaise on scan bran with baby tomatoes and 2 satsumas (free, 2.5 syns, free)
Dinner - Roast chicken dinner with boiled little potatoes in their skins, cauliflower, broccolli, carrots, gravy (free, heb, 3 syns)
Evening snack - meringue with rasberries and yogurt (3.5 syns)
I am embarrassed to admit that with all the cooking I do and all the soups I make I have never boiled up the remains of a chicken to make chicken soup! However times are achanging and I will (after stripping most of the left over meat off of course) attempt this tonight. My biggest worry is fat but I reckon if I boil it up tonight and let it cool down the fat should rise to the top and I should be able to easily remove it? Anyway I will give it a go:D Any advice gratefully received!

Morning all - :T
Here is my plan for the day:
Breakfast - oats so simple made with milk, fresh fruit (blueberries, pear, apple and satsuma). (heb, hea & free, free and free) Cereal and berries now and the rest of the fruit in about an hour. That sets me up fine till about 1pm for lunch.
Lunch - Homemade chicken vegetable soup (made from remains of last nights chicken) not made this yet but will be doing it this morning! (free)
snack - cup of tea and an a couple of mincemeat scan bran cakes - 2 syns
Dinner - SW Cottage pie with carrots and mixed veg topped with real potato!!! (free, free, heb) Then for pudding later the rest of the mince cakes topped with half a tin of value custard (10 syns together) making a total of 12 syns for the day.
The weather is terrible outside today so other than taking Charlie out for his walkies I will be staying in and doing all those little jobs that I have been putting off - like hoovering, dusting, laundry!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

OK everyone...............we need to get some renewed Zeal for our weight loss as some of us are starting to flagg a bit (ME):D
I have been looking at the SWspreadsheet and in the last 4 weeks between us we have lost a whopping 86 lbs:j (4.5 lbs are mine)
So come on everyone, lets get our heads down and go for it in the countdown to Christmas.......................hopefully we wont put it all back on though:rotfl:
Any new people who want to be added to the spreadsheet just let me know and I will add you and keep a track of your progress each week.
Come on Everyone...........WE CAN DO IT!!!But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -
