  • I am putting my :xmastree: up today and making my christmas :bdaycake: (i know this a birthday cake but there were no Christmas ones) but the smell of it cooking will drive me mad, also when it is cooked and i store it away everythime i open the cupboard door the smell will waft out to greet me. I love Christmas:xmassign: :T .

I have had a weekend off this week takeaway food and alcohol not too overboard but im still expecting a huge gain on tuesday, why is it so much easier to put weight on than it is to lose it, i can be so good all week and lose a pound at WI, then i can have 1 day off and all my hard work is ruined. I had chinese on Friday night and fish shop yesterday and about 8 halves:eek: of lager during the course of the day yesterday and according to my scales this morning im 6.5lbs heavier than on weigh in day last tuesday:eek: . 1 or 2 lbs i would have expected but 6.5, thats just rediculous, i know that weight fluctuates during the week and can change alot during the course of the day but that has shocked me and has made me a tad depressed, which is why im putting up decs and making cake to try and cheer me up.
    OK rant over.............................................. .............

  • Good morning, hope you are all well. I did good yesterday and managed to stick to plan although when my husband cracked open a bottle of wine I had to grit my teeth and force myself to say no:rotfl:! Felt very virtuous when I went to bed last night which was rather ruined when I got out of bed and had a sneaky weigh in on the scales. I don't seem to have lost anything at all:mad: I know my scales never match what they are at class but they normaly indicate a general trend in the right direction:mad:

Oh well, all I can do is carry on and have faith in the plan! Speaking of which here is todays:

Breakfast: 28gr puffed wheat with dried cranberries and milk (heb+2.5syns+hea)

morning snack - fresh fruit (free)

Lunch: Grilled tuna steak served on a mixed salad with balsamic spray (free) and a yogurt (free)

afternoon snack - scan bran cakes with cup of tea (half of heb+2 syns)

Dinner: Chicken Casserole (skinless chicken, swede, carrots and bn squash plus colmans mix) - (free + 2 syns) plus mincemeat cupcakes served warm with custard (other half of heb+8 syns)

Thats a total of 12 syns for the day. My first thought this morning was to almost eat nothing at all today but I know I would have got told off in class tomorrow morning if I did that so I am going to have my syns and my healthy extras and I will stick to the plan:jalthoough it is very very scary!!

  • My Saturday went completely to pot as well, I had a white roll on square sausage with potato scone and tom sauce for lunch, then a chinese for dinner (which was yummy!!) and 1/3 of a big bag of starburst at the cinema!!! hhhhmmm - I'm gonna be good and stay off the scales 'til Thursday, but methinks all of last week's good work might be undone!

Never mind, I'll get myself back on course today and maybe I'll at least manage to stay the same!!

    xx

I am really struggling guys:( problem is that I have had a virus for the past couple of weeks which now seems to have turned into full blown flu.

We ordered a takeaway last night, I only had a starter and although my hubby is a kind man he is totally useless at all things culinary so I guess with him in charge of the cooking it will be "whatever" with chips.

Today I have had a bit of fruit and an optifit yogurt and I have just had a tiny bit of ice cream for my sore throat:o

I am seriously thinking of ringing in to work and having the week off to try and get over this bout of illness once and for all.

You mustnt go into work lou, you work in a college so you could pass this on to hundreds of kids and staff, you need to take the time off to recover or it will just keep going round and round, thats what i had to do with DD Olivia last week i thought she was over it a couple of weeks ago and sent her back to school but her immune system was low and she cought it back again this time a more serious strain.

i also wouldnt worry about what you eat either, your body will burn more trying to get itself well again, thats why you usually lose weight while poorly.

you take it easy chuck and if you want me to tell them on Tuesday that you are ill i will do, you could also put a holiday in so you dont have to pay double next week.

    Evening everyone,
sounds like we're all having bummer days at the mo. I've had the worst belly ache ever the past few days, dont know whats causing it and i cant get in to see dr for ages. Had a rubbish night last night, went to bed early cuz i wasnt feeling too good, i was hoping to sleep it off but couldnt sleep with the pain. ended up driftin off then little un decided to scream the house down at half 3 so i've been up since then. Had a killer shift at work too. Work was freezing, i felt sooo tired n like crap then took some painkillers to help with my back pain n they just made me worse. I'm suprised i managed to stick to plan today, normally i would have hit the sweet stuff by now to keep me awake. Dreaded weigh day is looming so i'll need to be on my best behaviour tomoro.

Hope your feeling better soon louise

catch up with you all later x

  • aaawww ladies - sounds as though there's quite a few of you battling with the bugs! - Hope you're all feeling a bit better soon!

This time of year makes it so much harder to diet - I'd personally rather curl up in front of the fire and tuck into some stodge, than go to the gym and munch on lettuce leaf's! ;)

Anyway - I had a sneaky weigh in this morning, and I've put 2lbs back on since Thursday - so I need to get my act together and hopefully I'll at least stay the same! Left the house without so much as a drink of water this morning, since I overslept a tiny bit and forgot that the car would be lying under 3 inches of frost!!

But not to worry - I'll just need to hold out 'til lunch - I'll probably have it early and have some toast and poached egg to fill me up!!

Hope you all have a good day

    xx

Well I have rang into work sick today and plan to stay off the rest of the week to give myself a good chance of getting over this flu once and for all.

I will try and update the spreadsheet today but will you all have a look to make sure I have your progress correct as I have been trying to keep up by reading the thread.

Well done to all the losers/STS this week:j
