Morning all. Had my 3rd weigh in this morning and lost 5lbs - yeay! I got my stone award and slimmer of the week too so I am pleased! Total loss of 18lbs now still a long way to go though.
Had a hi fi bar for brekkie, chilli spuds for lunch and I am making BB lasagna for tea.
Have a great day everyone x x
Well done Penguin!! 5lbs in one week is a fab loss!! I think you may well be our slimmer of the week too - it'll take some doing to beat that!! Especially when it wasn't even your first - well done on getting your stone award too!!

Greetings nickynoo08 - you could still have a red dinner if you like by having a mix2match day. I do them all the time and find it ideal for me!:j

I weighed in tonight. I managed to lose 1/2lb, which is amazing considering the dreadful week I've had.
I've decided to go red for a few days, I must admit I prefer them and I'm a bit worried about any lingering effects from the last few days.
I get very bloated on green days too. I love beans, pulses & pasta, but no matter what I do to them (I must point out I'm a chef, now a trainee patissier), I find I'm bored. I certainly don't enjoy them as much as red. Finances are a bit tight, so I have been concentrating on green though!
Oh well, onwards and downwards (weight-wise!):DLBM:FEB 2008

Good morning everyone! This is my plan for todays food:
Breakfast -reduced fat egg mayonnaise on scan bran plus fruit and yogurt (free+2.5 syns+free+free)
Lunch - roasted in extra virgin olive oil (1tblsp)vegetables (butternut squash, pumpkin, onion an peppers) mixed with couscous and served on a bed of lettuce (free+heb+free+free)
Dinner - SW salmon fishcakes with SW chips and peas (heb+free+free)
milk in coffees - hea
syns - to be decided - at the moment its a toss up between a couple of glasses of wine or a real chocolate brownie - both would be about 15 syns each so would have to have one or the other - you decide:rotfl::rotfl:! I will choose whichever gets the most votes:cool:;)

that all sounds lovely Marion. can I ask how you make your scan bran cupcakes. I hate scan bran but would love to try making something nice with them.
re wine or brownie - I would have the brownie tonight then have the wine either Fri or Sat so I feel im haveing a weekend type treat. And that still gives you a couple of days to make up on any syns you may go over by.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
well im focussed today and have started the day off with tuna cottage cheese and apple (urgh i hear you all cry) but no its lovely and when you have been up on a morning since before 6 then it doesnt feel like breakfast after 2 coffees LOL.
i have my nanas shopping op do this morning but will be coming back and making mt pate and chopping loads of veg to go with it.
lunch will be bacon eggs and 2 wm bread
dinner will be, pork or lamb chops with loads of free veg.
i will stick another HEB in there in the form of dessert and i always use my A on milk.
so no excuses for me today and be ready to slap my hand if i stray..PPPLLLLLLLEEEEEEEESSSSEEEE....
i would go for half a brownie and 1 glass of wine to wash it down with, have the best of both worlds:rotfl:DFW red and green memberDoing my best to lose weight and save money0 -

I just make an ordinary scan bran cake and put it into a silicone muffin tin and cook in the microwave! I made 2 different types - mincemeat and chocolate. The mincemeat one is nice with custard and chocolate is nice with sweetened 0% total (pretend its whipped cream):rotfl:
Chocolate cake: 9 syns for all of it or 6.5 syns+heb
5 scan bran
3 beaten eggs
1 level tbsp golden syrup (i used honey)
1 oz cocoa powder
1/2 mug sweetener
Soak he scan bran in boiling water to soften. Draining then mash with a fork so there are not hard bits. Add everthing else and mix together briskly with the fork or a whisk. Pour into a microwavable dish (I use silicone muffin tins) and microwave on high for 7 minutes.
For the mincemeat one :
5 scan brans - do the same as above re the hot water and fork
add 2 eggs + 2 tbsp sweetener + flat teaspoon each of nutmeg and cinnamon + 2 tblsp mincemeat (4 syns)
Mix it all together, bung in microwave for 4 minutes
job done!
Hope you enjoy them! I am going to try and add a teaspoon of chocolate essence for an even more chocolaty taste. Cocoa must be used in the first one as ordinary hot chocolate won't achieve the taste we want!
