My questions for today (Sorry, still trying to get back in the swing of it):
If you have tinned fruit, which is in juice rather than syrup - does it have a syn value or is it free?
Also - what do you all snack on on meat days? So far I survive on Muller Light Yoghurts or Fruit - but I'm imagining that might get a bit boring quite quickly!!

Ha ha - that answers the question in my last post!!I do find that if I have my blow out earlier in the week, it leaves just about enough time to claw it back before weigh in (the same way I only have green days just after weigh in, and have 4 red days leading up to weigh in) - But I suppose since I've just started that's maybe why I'm getting away with it for now!!
Yesterday was a good one for me - totally syn free (So in my head that makes up for the wobbles I had at the weekend), plus I survived my first spin class (wrong thread I know - but I'm extra proud, plus I'm hoping that fitting in a lot more cardio exercise will help the weight loss!!)
Good luck sticking to the plan for today retired lady - sounds very do-able!!

If I've lost anything this week I'll be happy - so well done on the loss! It's better than a gain!! :T :j

It strikes me that no matter when I have a blow out I still gain like a pregnant elephant! I've had a really terrible week so I'm not particularly looking forward to tomorrow's weigh in.
I haven't one big blow out, just lots of silly little slips over the course of the week. Ice cream Saturday, couple of glasses of wine Sunday, biscuits on monday etc etc.
I'm really struggling at the moment. So depressed with the lack of sleep and sick kids that I'm worried to eat, cos I constantly crave the wrong stuff. I must admit that since having the car fixed I have NO money, and I haven't been able to do a proper shop.
Sorry guys. Feeling quite low at the moment. :sad:LBM:FEB 2008

Realised what she said is true as I do tend to not count things on a Monday so am going to make more of an effort and see if it makes any difference!:o

edit: oh and if you like garlic sauce on your donner meat make your own using Quark, greek yog and garlic... best mad e the day before tho as quark really absorbs the falvour of the garlic.DFW red and green memberDoing my best to lose weight and save money0 -

I'm sorry you're feeling low rugbymum - but :rotfl: at your pregnant elephant comment!
Maybe you should try actually factoring in a bit of a blow out when you're planning your meals - obviously not going mad - but if you save your syns and use it for a planned bowl of ice cream, or a glass of wine or whatever - at least you can enjoy it without beating yourself up?
Sorry if you do that already, just a wee suggestion! I think we all fall off the wagon now and again (I've only been doing it a week and still had moments where I think "ah I'll never be thin anyway - so what's the point!") - but I'm sure you'll get back in your stride soon enough!!

ah well - the tinned fruit is best left alone then! Just thought it might be easier to carry in my bag when working, and somehow it seems more appealing than just an apple or whatever!
Great idea for the Pate - I might try that tonight!
I tried the Quark last night as well - it tasted great - but looked awful?! It went into a really strange consistency as soon as it hit the heat! But maybe I just did something wrong!
Anyway - it's about time I stopped being a posting pest and actually did some work! (For an hour or so at least!!)

The new week for the spreadsheet started yesterday and I think I have managed to update everyone.
