  • Thanks for adding me Lou!

And well done to both you and northernlass on the weightloss!

The curry defo tastes most like a chinese that I've come across! You're probably right to double check the syn value though - I'm positive that my old group leader said the whole tub was 18 syns - and we only ever used 1/3 of the tub to make a curry for 4 - but since it's a while since I've been to the class it's probably wise to double check! :p

There were weeks (when I was being lazy!!) when I was probably eating it at least twice for dinner, either with chips or curry and I still lost weight with it. There was another woman who put it on absolutely everything (and I mean everything!! Baked potatoes, cauliflower instead of cheese sauce, pasta bakes etc etc) and she was losing loads! If I'm being honest, it was one of the reasons I stopped going to the class - although I like the sauce - it got a bit monotonous listening to them going on and on (and on!!) about it every week! :rotfl: And here I am, my first day in my new on-line group, and what's the first thing I bring up?! Mayflower b****y sauce!! :rotfl:

Anyway - I'm off to bed for tonight! Hopefully I'll be joining you lovely ladies in reporting some weight loss next Tuesday!!

    xx

PS I'll see how I look when I get to 10 stone Nickynoo and take it from there - I'm sure I have a distant memory of being this height and only 9 stone - but when I look at my body now - I'm just not quite sure how I'd fit into such a small body!! :p Like - where would all my bones go?! :D Hope you enjoy the party! He's only 2 once so make sure you enjoy it - and like you say, you have the rest of the week to make up for it!!
  • Well i found it on the SW site i think it is quite reasonable considering how many syns a chinese curry is. Fill it out with free foods and have boiled rice with it but 100ml wont feed more than 1 person,

Just take the cooking slowly and if you're having difficulties, drink a glass of wine till you feel better!
Well done on the weight loss :T :T :T .
Gutted for you not have the extra pound I was nearly at my 2 stone last week, but here's hoping for tonight!
Given your current loss you'll probably be half way to your next 1/2 stone sticker next week so stay focused!
    WELL DONE!

PS Does anyone have any idea of how much general weight loss you need to drop one dress size? Or is that just too vague a question?

I'm sorry to butt in on this one, I went down 2 sizes during my first stone and I'm down another 2 sizes (I'm hoping to have my 2 stone sticker tonight).
I've just realised that losing weight isn't very dfw. I had to buy new stuff, having gone through the embarassment of losing bottom halves while out & about & drowning in tops! Unfortunately (or fortunately) I'm now shrinking out of my new stuff too!;)

Hiya everyone, so far so good today. Had no syns yet, i'm saving them for later:o. Need a kick up the bum as far as exercise goes tho. Been out for a walk with little un to try out his new bike but i need to get back into the habit of doing regular exercies again.
Also need to adjust my weight, i'd just guessed the other day and i actually weigh 10st 7lb not 10st 6lb. Only a lb out but its lb more i need to loose:rolleyes:

Well done rugby mum!! Although not ideal, it's still a fab complaint to have! And you must feel great for it!! Would it be cheaper to have the big stuff altered to fit your lovely new slender body? Always easier to take 'em in than it is to let 'em out!! ;)

Well done to you too Penguin - 3lbs is a lot in one week! - And you're defo on track to reach the stone next week!!

I'm not off to the best of starts with the diet! I wasn't really planning to start the diet, it was just an impulsive decision when I saw this thread, therefor I hadn't bought any of the right foods in. And since I'm still in bed with a chest infection and the cupboards are practically bare - all I've had to eat today is a bowl of chicken soup and 2 slices of white bread!

I'll just need to make sure I try harder at dinner time!!

    xx

Louby I found the same the last time I did SW - I was hammering the gym (only going to classes but going to at least 1 per night) - and for the first 4 weeks not a lot really happened - just the odd pound off here and there - then it was either in the 4th/5th week I lost 5lbs all in one go! Depends whether you were doing that amount of exercise to begin with - but I think your body just takes a bit of time to get used to it if you start both at once! Although ditching the gym in favour of some new shoes sounds like a grand plan!! ;)

I invested in a belt for the two pairs of trousers and I still have nappy pins from when DSno3 was in washables so I use those.:D
Some things are impossible to take in, my dressmaker friend has already looked (hence the pins), for other things I've invested in lots of elastic for her to do some sewing. Unfortunately we can't get much done cos of the quarantine thing we're under!
Good news is though I have one of those floaty, cut on the bias dresses, that looks fabulous now :j . I now need some invitations for the holidays so I can wear it!
