What sort of things is she doing NL? It's really hard to take sometimes, so I really do sympathise. My 7 year old is very much an 'angry young man' at the moment (he has aspergers syndrome, so the world is a rather frustrating and confusing place for him), so I understand a bit of what you are going through. (((hugs)))

Sorry to hear that you are down HWGA:kisses3: I think alot of people use food as comfort......me included.

I have had an argument with OH before and instinctively reached for a chocolate bar/crisps.....I then said to him "See what you have made me do now":o :rotfl:

Just need to find a way to break the cycle of finding those type of foods comforting..........I just dont seem to get the same comfort from a carrot stick:rolleyes:
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.

you are so right snags, tonight i had a huge fight with DD and after she went to bed i ate 2 paks of monster munch a tub of cashew nuts and i have drank 2 glasses of wine, so im off to bed before i do more damage.

does anyone have any advice on how to deal with a 9 year old girl with a serious attitude problem,i am literally at my wits end she is getting worse everyday and i dont know how long it will take but one day i am going to snap, there is only so many times you can count to 10.20.30.40 etc before you cant take anymore.
    sorry top moan

Hi NL Its a very difficult age 9-11 years my children have all grown up I had six, 5 sons & 1 daughter and they all went through a difficult stage. I have grandaughters the same age as your daughter, Gemma is very much the same she tries to rule the roost with her mum and dad although they are quite firm with her, I would like to be able to give some advice and the only thing I can think of is maybe to deprive her of something she likes or likes doing, and then when she comes round to being a good girl again you can lift the ban and tell her how proud you are of her. good luck.

Snaggles - don't beat yourself up, as you said you probably can cover up that chocolate with your syns allowance, so you haven't actually done anything wrong.

Northern Lass - Oh I remember it well, my daughter knew exactly which buttons to push, she was the only person I knew who could change me from a calm, stress free person into a screaming banshee!!!!!! I can only sympathise with you and tell you it does get better, though it may be hard to believe right now.

Herewegoagain - Wow, you should be so proud of yourself , that's a great weight loss, ((()))'s you're not alone, we all want you to suceed, eating does make you feel better for a short time, but afterwards, the enjoyment soon disappears to be replaced by feeling worse.

Cleosmum, couldn't you just spit, I have to agree, can't get on with green days either, only allow myself two a week and definately not on the day before weigh in

    Hey Guys.

I have taken a couple of days out and I've been thinking.

And as a result i have also been eating    And the end result, I am fat, horrible and everything hurts :o .

So what am I going to do about it, because I can't carry on like this. I was chatting to a friend last night and my exact words were

'well as I am out with work all day on Tues, bbq and takeaway so no point starting a diet until at least Weds' :rotfl: :o :rotfl:

But realistically is that going to help anyone?

    NO!!!!!

    So.

I am going to start in the morning with damage limitiation from now :D :T

And I am going to list the reasons so you can all throw them at me when I fall off again

    - I loved being a size 12/14
    - I was so full of confidence
    - I actually LIKED clothes shopping
    - I was fitter and healthier and wasn't shamed to eat in public.
    - I didn't cry when I was out because nothing fits :o

I think that will do for now, feel free to add to them ;) And at the end of the day I need to do this for myself, to feel happier in my own skin and not care what anyone else says.

So this is what my evening meals will look like:

Sat - Quorn Sausage and baked bean bake
    Sun - Rainbow Pasta
    Mon - ???
Tues - bbq at lunch and Indian in the evening
Weds - Quorn Burger and SW Chips
    Thurs - Gloulash (?) Meatballs
    Fri - SW Pizza

I might even be brave an take some 'before' pictures tonight. Sorry for the long post, but I needed to tell you guys that I am getting back into it, and I am feeling the love for myself to actually get the weight back off. I know it wont be easy, but I am going to push this to the limit and see what happens. Oh and I will be carrying on with Aquafit on Mondays :D :A

    Love ya! x:rotfl:
    Current debt - £16,300 :(
    Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek:
:ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A
  • Glad to see you so positive lucy. Thanks NL for the comforting words, funnily enough i haven't had much of an appetite today. Just popping to Asda to stock up on 50p goodies...catch you all later, have a good one. BOB x
