Hiya
Fab spreadsheet snaggles, not going to share my start weight if thats ok. I have quite a bit to lose but rather than say ohh god i have to lose x stone im going to take it 1 stone at a timesmaller goals work better for me.
Dug out the SW books, have lots of recipes for red and green days so if anyones stuck for ideas, like other say, post and i'll see if i can come up with anything too.
right, off to make a food plan for the week0 -
Am I right in saying red days are rubbish?
I personally find red a bit restrictive. I'm a green girl through and through, but red days do make me lose weight quicker. My consultant once said that there was no basis to this thought, but lots of people do seem to say the same thing.superpup wrote:
So far I've had porridge, banana and dried apricots.
Lunch was 3 ryvita multigrain with 3 extra light laughing cow triangles and smoked salmon (yuk), carrot and cucumber sticks and a slice of bacon.
I suppose I can only have fruit now until my dinner? Boring...
On a red day, you can eat unlimited meat, poultry and fish whenever you fancy it. You can eat as much fruit as you want as well as quorn, low fat cottage cheese, eggs, plain tofu and vegetables (but not peas or sweetcorn on a red day).
So, you could have a bacon omelette. Or quorn sausages, bacon and eggs with mushrooms. Or a big ham or chicken salad. Or a 14 ounce prime rib eye steak if it really took your fancy:eek: :rotfl:
Or all of them - topped off with a couple of mullerlights and 2 bananas:rotfl: :eek:superpup wrote:
The 7 day menu says I can have cottage cheese mixed with prawns and apple, and some chicken for snacks.
I think I'm just going to eat fruit as snacks although I'm not a big fruit fan.superpup wrote:
Dinner is swede and celeriac topped cottage pie.superpup wrote:I can't wait till I can ditch this plan as I don't know my @rse from my elbow at the moment...
Edit - I mean I can't wait to ditch the 7 day menu from the SW website, not the whole diet.
You'll get there. Once you have the hang of it, you'll start getting into the swing. The 7 day trial plan is more about introducing the different kinds of things you could eat if you wanted to. Once you are past that (and to be honest, you could ditch it now if you wanted and just do green or red days) you'll start exploring all the things that are available."Stay Wonky":D

I quite like red days TBH, bit I seem to be getting to grips more with green days for some reason?
Who knows...Empty pockets never held anyone back, only empty heads and empty hearts can do that -Peale0 -
Fantastic spreadsheet Snaggs, will have to pm details. I have been a bit norty as was OH's birthday yeterday and had a chinese, but will count that as flexible syns. I would love to add up how mush saved and see if it matches weight pounds lost. I think i will be a bloomin millionaire after it all.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -

that's why I prefer green - to be honest, I get a bit bored of eating lots of meat.
Thanks Keren
I'm not a big meat eater either. I'm not up for anything too meaty until my dinner. I was thinking snacky things. Am I allowed mullerlight on a red day then? I'd be happy with one of those to keep me going. Can I have other yogurts or do SW have shares in muller?
I may go and eat some cottage cheese. I quite like that as well.
I think I'm going to make a list of healthy A's and B's that I know I will eat so the list isn't so big and confusing.
I was looking on ebay at SW books etc but they're going for quite a bit. Would I be better off joining a group for a week. What do they give you when you join? I can join for £5 plus £4.50 for the 1st week. Will I get much more info than you've already sent me?
I don't know why I'm finding this so hard to grasp. I normally pick up stuff quite quickly but I'm getting a bit kerfuddled with this.
Sorry for all the questions.

Snaggles....what do I do if I need to look at your spreadsheet for inspiration? Do I have to find the relevant post or is there somewhere central I can go to?YOUR = belonging to you (your coat); YOU'RE = you are (I hope you're ok)
really....it's not hard to understand :T0 -
yep. you can eat as many mullerlights as you fancy on green or red.
I'll find you some free or low syn yoghurts, give me a mo.
Edit:
Muller light Layers (jam on the bottom kind of thing) - 1.5 syns
WW Fromage Frais or Fruity on the Bottom or Thick and Creamy - 0.5 syns each
Sainsbury Low Price (I guess the mean like Value) - 1 syn each
Tesco Low fat yoghurt - raspberry - 1.5
Tesco yoghurt, custard style, rhubarb crumble - 1.5
Mullerlight with cake pieces - lemoncheesecake - 0.5
Mullerlight with cake pieces - apple pie - 1
Muller Fruit Corner Black Cherry or Raspberry and Strawberry - 1.5
Nestle Sveltesse 0.3% rhubarb crumble - 1
Nestle Sveltesse 0.3% Apricot Tart - 1.5
Nestle Sveltesse 0.7% Lemon Cheesecake - 1.5
Ski Light , Peach/Raspberry/Strawberry/Cheery - 1.5
many standard yoghurts are around 2 or 2.5 and then the luxury ones are around 3 or 3.5."Stay Wonky":D

Thanks again Keren, that's a relief. Never been that bothered about Mullerlight yogurt until I thought I couldn't have one today!
Thanks for the list. Typical that the ones I have in my fridge are activia and shape. I'll say they're 2.5 then to be on the safe side.
Thank you x0 -
Shape Fat free smooth or bio fruit are 1.5 each.
Activia bio are 3 each, except rhubarb which is 4. Natural is 1.
Activia bio 0% cherry is 0.5"Stay Wonky":D
