    Afternoon all :hello:

Weighed myself and I've stayed the same :j so it's not so bad. I bought a couple of books from Ebay and realised that I have been making fundamental errors, i.e. thinking cottage cheese with pineapple was a HE  and that Oatso Simple blueberry was also a HE when it is in fact 6 points

So I'm shopping tonight having made a menu plan in conjunction with my books and list. I am about to have Tesco Ravioli and JP as that is only 0.5 point on green day :j

So going to study the free list in my book intently and get a grip on this properly. It's amazing the stuff you think is healthy when it isn't.

    Have a good weekend everyone

Hi jelly babies you were very wise to buy those books, it pays to look up the syn values when you decide on what you are going to eat, another good book is the food directory, it is a wonderful book and so handy, you can find the syn value on litterally everything & anything, it is a bit pricey but worth every penny, I have the 2007 issue it cost me around about £7 when I joined S/W the last time. have a good day bubsy

    This is the official explanation:-

    SUCCESS EXPRESS

    Step 1
Have Three Success Express Meals a Day. At each meal follow the two to one principle.
Fill two thirds of your plate with Superfreefoods (foods that are syn-free on both plans) then one third of the plate with foods that are Free on Green or Original.

    Step 2:
Add one or two Healthy Extra ‘A’ Choices and two ‘B’ choices from either the Green or Original lists.

    Step 3:
Snack on Superfree Foods such as fresh or frozen fruit, vegetables, eggs or very low fat dairy products. You can add Healthy Extras to Snacks.

    Step 4:
Choose your Syns; enjoy five to 15 Syns per day. You can enjoy your Syns as part of a meal or for treats.
Snacks, desserts or starters that are not Superfree or Healthy Extras are counted as Syns.

    SERVING SENSE

To get the maximum benefits from Success Express. It is best to follow the easy guidelines that put a little structure and control into your serving sizes.
If you find yourself building “towers” of food that’s mainly free on Green or Original, it might be better to go for that choice rather than busting the “true” Two to one Principle.

On a Success ExpressDay, everything you eat that isn’t a Free Food (following the two to one principle), a Superfree Food or a Healthy Extra has Syns. If a Syn has a higher Syn value on one choice than the other then you must take the higher value.

thanks consultant, that makes sense. Might try a couple of those days and see how I go.

Snaggles can you put me down as 2lb off - thanks.

    :)

Spreadsheet updated again - just wanted to check a couple of things:

Girlie - you said you've lost 8lbs in 3 weeks but I haven't got the individual weekly losses so I've just guessed at 3lbs week 1, 2lbs week 2 and then 3lbs week 3. If that's not right though, just let me know and I'll change it.

Superpup - was your loss an official weigh in, or just a mid-week one? I've got you down as a 6.5lb loss overall so far, is that right?

I'm not hungry at all today, don't know what's wrong with me. I would be pleased, except I'm scared I'm suddenly going to be starving and end up eating loads.

Well done on your weight loss and happy birthday tomorrow, by having your meal in tomorrow I am sure you won't go far wrong syn wise.:T

Breakfast was 2 alpen light bars (HEB and love em!) with half a punnet of cherries.

Not had lunch yet, might grab some fruit soon as we are having dinner early, which is large steak, mixed salad, jersey royals (HEB) and 42g feta (HEA) with fat free italian dressing drizzled over :j

OH is going to take me to the pub after school pick up and will stick to a diet coke :)

You know what, I was going to grab a packet of crisps to eat earlier until I realised I didnt actually fancy them, I just couldnt think of anything else "snacky" :o
