This is the official explanation:-
SUCCESS EXPRESS
Step 1
Have Three Success Express Meals a Day. At each meal follow the two to one principle.
Fill two thirds of your plate with Superfreefoods (foods that are syn-free on both plans) then one third of the plate with foods that are Free on Green or Original.
Step 2:
Add one or two Healthy Extra ‘A’ Choices and two ‘B’ choices from either the Green or Original lists.
Step 3:
Snack on Superfree Foods such as fresh or frozen fruit, vegetables, eggs or very low fat dairy products. You can add Healthy Extras to Snacks.
Step 4:
Choose your Syns; enjoy five to 15 Syns per day. You can enjoy your Syns as part of a meal or for treats.
Snacks, desserts or starters that are not Superfree or Healthy Extras are counted as Syns.
SERVING SENSE
To get the maximum benefits from Success Express. It is best to follow the easy guidelines that put a little structure and control into your serving sizes.
If you find yourself building “towers” of food that’s mainly free on Green or Original, it might be better to go for that choice rather than busting the “true” Two to one Principle.
On a Success ExpressDay, everything you eat that isn’t a Free Food (following the two to one principle), a Superfree Food or a Healthy Extra has Syns. If a Syn has a higher Syn value on one choice than the other then you must take the higher value.I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -

ounce optivita (HEB)
skimmed milk (1/2 HEA)
batchelors flavoured rice
butter beans
pasta n sauce
2 penguins (10 syns)
3 babybel light (HEA)
skimmed milk (HEA)
cottage cheese

:doh: OMG, some fish and chips just leapt into my mouth. :mad:
It's not as bad as it sounds though, we bought two portions, Stu had one and me, Ryan and Tasha shared the other (soo, excellent dieting and fabulous parenting all in one go :rolleyes:). I didn't have very much really, honest.

I'm normally ok with the weighing thing and have my class tonight and wanted to know what the damage was so I can prepare myself :rotfl: .
I will give the bread thing a go, I don't eat a massive amount (it's not the same as an uncut loaf!!) I just didn't fancy a salad today and get stuck for lunches when I am at work.
So ideas there would be a help!!

I used to pack lunch for my daughter when she was at home and she loved the SW quiches. They slice nicely for a lunch-box and I used to chuck in all sorts of chopped veggies to go with it. She particularly liked the Pasta n Sauce quiches, whereas I prefer the new potatoes or the onion & leek, but you can make them with almost anything you enjoy (just make sure you stick to green day fillings or red day ones - don't mix the two).
You might like some of the following, which are also good for buffets:-
Free Scotch eggs - Shape the sausage meat from Syn-free sausages around 1 hard boiled egg, making sure that the egg is covered. Crush a Scan bran with a rolling pin (place the Scan bran in a plastic bag first!). Roll the covered egg in the crumbs until evenly coated. Bake in a preheated oven at 180ºC for about 25 minutes. Use the Scan bran as part of a Healthy Extra b choice , or count ½ Syn per crispbread used. (You can find Scandinavian Bran biscuits in most health food shops)
Chilled mini-kebabs - cherry tomatoes, rolled up ham/turkey, cubes of cucumber, inches of celery, squares of pepper and basil leaves to make a delicious finger food that's Free on Original.
Potato salad - Made with boiled salad or new potatoes and very low fat fromage frais. Flavour with garlic or fresh herbs for a fresh and free salad on Green.
Pasta salad - Made with 100% Free Food. Try mixed beans, sweetcorn, celery, raw mushroom, pepper, cherry tomatoes, radish, spring onion, and flavour with your choice of passata, very low fat natural yogurt or fromage frais for a Free extravaganza on Green. If you feel like a change, why not swap pasta for cooked rice or couscousI let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
Went to class last night and collected my books. Was going through my cupboards and found Uncle Bens Express rice - special fried rice & mushroom rice, can someone tell me if they're free on green or is there a syn value. Also does Muller Light layered fruit yoghurt have a syn value? Also where can I find these things out?0

Hi all, had visiters today made them a salad, also made an Egg Fried Rice 1.5 syns each ,but I made way too much so it looks as if egg fried rice is on the menue for a couple of days.
The recipe for egg fried rice is further down the page, There was also a quiche on the table BUT I was very good!!! never even had a crumb,:A I made it my green day today so only had to syn the ham & coleslaw.
I was very pleased with myself today ( was my first weigh-in lost 2lb :j ) well done everyone on their weight losses.
Oh well its tea time better have some more egg fried rice!!!0
