Sorry Cleosmum, I must have thought your post was from last week - you're up to date now hun. :)

I have to confess to a few sneaky bourbon biscuits last night - I always struggle around this totm, but feeling quite pleased that I kept it in check and didn't go crazy. I will have had too many syns yesterday I'm sure, but not a huge amount too many.

We are supposed to be having fajitas for dinner tonight, but they are 7 syns each! So if I have no other syns today (never going to happen ) I can have two, but then no glass of wine.

I'm wondering about having the fajita filling but with some rice or cous cous, because that would cut down the syns massively, and it would only be a couple instead of 14.

I really like tortillas though! :o

What about SW chicken fajitas on an original? 3.5 on orig and 7.5 on green.

Serves 4

283g/10oz chicken breast fillets, boned and skinned
Juice of 1 lime
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp dried coriander
Fry Light
2 large onions, thinly sliced
1 red pepper, deseeded and cut into strips
1 green pepper, deseeded and cut into strips
1 garlic clove, crushed
1 red or green chilli, deseeded and finely chopped
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
4 x 28g/1oz soft tortillas
4 tbsp very low fat natural yogurt
2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
Lime wedges to serve
For the salsa
2 garlic cloves, roasted in their skins in the oven
3 tomatoes, skinned, deseeded and chopped
half red onion, finely chopped
1 red chilli, deseeded and chopped
2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
Juice of half a lime

1. Cut the chicken fillets into thin strips and put them in a bowl. Pour the lime juice and herbs over the top. Cover and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. Mix the salsa ingredients together in a small bowl, cover and set aside. 2. Spray a heavy frying pan or cast iron grill pan with a little Fry Light and heat it until really hot. Add the chicken strips to the pan and cook them, turning frequently, over a high heat, until they are cooked and golden brown. Remove and keep warm.
3. Add the onions, peppers, garlic and chilli to the pan and cook quickly over high heat, tossing them occasionally, until they are tender and slightly charred. Remove, season with salt and pepper, keep warm.
4. Warm the tortillas and divide the cooked chicken and vegetables between them. Top with a spoonful of yogurt and some chopped coriander, and then roll up. Serve with lime wedges and salsa.

Hi. Well done on everyone's losses and to those of us who may be struggling, don't stress about it. It takes a long time to put it on so it's bound to take a long time to come off because that thing called life gets in the way sometimes.

As for star weeks, I've given up on them. I begged my doctor to put me back on the depo injection. I figured that with everything we women have to put up with and do on a daily basis, wether it's out of love or duty, then something had to give, so I gave up PMT. Works for me.

Food wise, I am still really enjoying what I'm eating. Got weighed on Monday (haven't had time to do a post since then!) and have lost another 2 lbs, which brings my total up to 8lbs in 3 weeks!!! Have developed a bit of a thing for yogurts - eating at least half a dozen a day. Also, can't seem to get enough of bananas at the moment, or strawberries. Once over, I couldn't get enough of Maltesers and now I don't even fancy them! Must be in the right 'mind zone' at the moment. Long may it last.

Have fun everyone (best go and actually do some work) and think thin thoughts!!

Eeeks when I had depo it not only made me extremely depressed but I put on 2 stone lol.

Thanks for the recipe CM, they sound gorgeous - the fajita filling I make is really healthy, just quorn, peppers, onions, mushrooms and spices, but it's the tortillas that are loads of syns (6.5 each I think). Is there a certain kind of tortilla that you're supposed to use that is less syns?

Ah just found for Tesco:
Tesco Fajita Meal Kit, Flour Tortillas, Fajita Seasoning & Spicy Tomato Salsa, ambient 34g tortilla

red.gif Original 4½ Syns green.gif Green 4½ Syns

But its for a single tortilla, not the rest of the kit!

Hi Cleosmum, so far so good with depo for me. Was on it for 7 years before my first son and was slinky!!!! Hope it's the same this time round. Could be my secret weapon.

Have just had my lunch and am so full I feel quite sick - cottage cheese and sesame ryvitas followed by silly amount of strawberries, bananas and pieapple topped with fat free fromage frais. No chocolate in sight. Perhaps I've been swapped with an alien.

Well I didnt manage breakfast as we had run out :(

I fully intended to be baaaaaaaad for lunch and eat white thick hovis dripping in butter and marmite, but somehow I accidently ate a packet of chicken (free) and followed that by chicken and broccoli pie (free). I was most put out pmsl.
