I'll get more adventerous Im sure once I've made a few more-I like them quite 'runny' and almost sour with lemon and lots of onionsEmpty pockets never held anyone back, only empty heads and empty hearts can do that -Peale0

Dopiaza is lots of onion and Ceylon is hot and sour - lots of black pepper and lemon. I like lots of lentils in mine.
There is a SW curry book, I've got it somewhere - must find that as well!!!"Stay Wonky":D

Argghhhh....I thought I'd stuck to it perfectly today but Stu sneaked extra wine and some garlic puree into our dinner, so I've had 15.5 syns.....nooooooooooo!!!
But as I haven't had the books with me today, and I've had chocolate, cheese and wineI haven't done too badly! I've still got a healthy extra to have...hmmmm, dry bread anyone?

Hi again
I think I'm getting my head around this, thanks to info from Keren and posts on here, but could do with checking today's eats if someone wouldn't mind please?
I'm working from the 7 day free trial off the SW website at the moment.
Already tweaked it as had nothing suitable for b'fast.
B'fast
2 Weetabix, a bit of semi skimmed milk and some water
Snack (on way into Tesco) banana
Snack (on way out of Tesco) toffee mullerlight
Lunch
Jacket potato, 3/4 tin beans, 42g low fat cheddar
(was supposed to have homemade coleslaw but it was 4pm and I had shopping all over the kitchen)
Was also supposed to have a tin of fruit cocktail in juice with some natural yogurt but didn't really want it or feel I needed it. Does it matter that I missed it out?
Dinner
Quorn Bolognese with wholewheat linguine. I had 42g low fat cheddar with it as a Healthy A choice and the milk that I've had with my b'fast and in tea should count as my 2nd Healthy A, yes?
The Weetabix I had this morning would've been a Healthy B choice so I have to have something else off the B list tonight?
And I don't think I've had any syns. I bought some Tesco own brand Jaffa Cakes in the hope that they would be reasonably low on the syn front.
Maybe if I have a slice of toast with a bit of something on before bed, that would count as my last Healthy B with a few syns?
I promise I'll have this sorted in a few days
I started today as I don't have much time before the wedding I'm going to next month and can't afford to wait a few days. Are we weighing in on Wednesday or the following week? I weighed this morning and I was 11,4 and if I can get down to 10,10 by 17th May, I'll be reasonably happy.
Thanks for the recipes that have been posted. I will post some of my own once I know what I'm doing. If I try it now, I'll probably merge the 2 and create a murky brown day
sp x
PS - Snaggles, that's only half a syn over isn't it? Can you earn extra syns with exercise?0 -
Superpup....just looking over your menu briefly you seem to have had 42g low fat Cheddar for both lunch (on your jacket) and dinner (on your spag bol) plus your allowance of milk. You are only allowed 2 'A' choices, so you will need to count the second helping of cheese as Syns (and 28g of low fat Cheddar is 4 Syns) so you have had 8 Syns today, just on cheese alone.
Another confusing thing is that you can count various meat/fish as a 'B' choice on a green day. PM me if you want to know weights of these.YOUR = belonging to you (your coat); YOU'RE = you are (I hope you're ok)
really....it's not hard to understand :T0 -
Just thought I would mention, dunno if this is still the case, but when you have treats like chocies and crisps and you don't always know the syn value, usually 20 cals = 1 syn
That's what I was told when I went to classes many moons ago! Seems to ring true when I check my fav snacks out!:j 'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts' - DFW Nerd member 866 :j0 -
Superpup could count the milk as syns if that was less couldn't she? And have both cheese portions as her A's?:j 'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts' - DFW Nerd member 866 :j0

Just wanted to say hello to Tw1nklestar and enjoy that wine! I have also given up the booze, only recently and do feel better for it! I know that you should be able to have a small amount, glass or two but I prefer to save my syns for chocolate! Just polished off a curly wurly and hot chocolate options thing so that's all my syns gone for today! But time for bed anyway!
Take care xxx:j 'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts' - DFW Nerd member 866 :j0
