a couple of books I've always found useful is the pocket sized Little Book of Low Syn Snacks and also the pocket book which is supermarket Free Foods (can't remember the exact name of the second one, I haven't dug it out yet)
They are listed by manufacturer or supermarket and are great for finding stuff you wouldn't think are free!
My favourite quick snacky ready meal things are:
Batchelors Pasta n Sauce - all are free on a Green apart from the Carbonara which is 0.5 syn and Cheese, Leek and Ham which is 1 syn. Use water or milk from the a choice list.
Batchelors Super Low Fat Noodles - chicken and herb or smoky bacon, both Free on Green. Be careful you don't buy the regular SuperNoodles - they aren't free, but are still quite low. Asda Smartprice ones are 2.5 for the chicken flavoured ones.
Batchelors packet Savoury Rice - all the flavours are free on a green day
Just a couple of things I always have in the cupboard to snack on or have for lunch."Stay Wonky":D

I guess the cheaper ones have more sugar and 'filler' ingredients in them.

Or don't have a "commercial agreement" with them..."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

I made the chicken tikka masala for tea tonight-my first ever attempt at a curry from 'scratch' and it was really nice!!! Im very pleased and want to try more curries now.
If anyone wants the recipe, let me know.
Syn free too btw-however, I like lots of rice so had 8 syns worth of rice...Empty pockets never held anyone back, only empty heads and empty hearts can do that -Peale0 -
well done bunny!
I was going to do curry tonight, but changed my mind to ratatouille chicken with chick pea cous cous. The chicken is cooking now.
When I do a curry, I chop onion and fry off, add garlic (and ginger if I have some) brown the meat, add the curry powder, tin of tomatoes and then (depending on what I have in the cupboard) stuff like chick peas, cooked potatoes, boiled egg, peppers, mushrooms, cooked butternut squash, chillies and spinach. I usually add some chopped coriander at the end."Stay Wonky":D
