hey, you lot shouldn't start me on recipes - i'd waffle on all day!!
I'm currently dying my red work skirt black. It will do me for a couple of stone as it is very tight, but I can just about wear it now. If it's black, it's much easier to match stuff I already own in the wardrobe rather than it being red.
I'm on ebay at the moment and I'm going to snaffle (I typed snaggle to start with!) a couple of blouses that finish in the next few minutes - hopefully. They are a style I know suits me from Evans. I'm aiming to buy 2 in my current size and 1 in the next size down all from the same buyer so I should get a discount and it will sort out this 'hot weather' and work clothes problem I have at the moment.
If I can get all 3, I will have enough work clothes to see me to the end of the summer and (hopefully) the next couple of stone, otherwise I'd have to wear my chenille jumper and my heavy suede jacket until I could get another stone or so off!!"Stay Wonky":D

Not started the SW thingy yet but today I had 100ml of FF milk on my cereal (cheerios and alpen) glass of fruit juice. 1.5 litres of water and cordial throughout the day, 2 mini boxes of raisins and an apple for lunch. Got home had coffee with half a sugar (usually have 1 sugar) then I had a couple of biscuits. Having a very small portion of frozen chinese from last weekend. So for me another canny day oh and I went for a run at 0600 this morning as well, nice and slow. Still being outbid on ebay for the starter pack they seem to be all going for about £18!! Will keep trying and if nothing by Fri I shall bite the bullet and phone 'mi local consultant. Hey Mrs S hope the course is going ok.
Do get your books from a group - feeding the greedy sellers on eBay isn't very MSE after all
Your choice of foods isn't actually very good as far as SW goes - the cereals you have wouldn't be a healthy extra (well, the Alpen might, depending how much you had) and the raisins and biscuits would have to be synned.
You could have so much more to eat by following the plan, you'll be amazed!
Good luck on getting the books, but they will only cost you £9.50 in group and you'll get the benefit of being talked through the plans as well.I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
Hi Guys.
I have an away day with work tomorrow, which will include a buffet lunch and then a 3 course evening meal!!!!
Any tips on dealing with it ok? I've had a really bad weekend, but have been better today and don't want to ruin it again!
I normally have Green days as I then don't need to worry about veg or potatoes!

Thanks Cleo, hey that sounds good but dont know if i would be brave enough to go to SW.
Why on earth would you need courage - my group is a jumble of big and little, ladies and gents, funny and serious........it's just a bit of 'me' time (or so lots of the members tell me.
Go along and I'll bet you see someone you know going in as well. You'll never know till you try, but I'm honestly convinced you stand the best chance of losing weight and keeping it off by going to a group.
And, you have the added advantage of mid-week support on her as well :TI let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
Hello everyone......amazingly I have lost 1lb this week. I have been over my sins on some days....by alot ....but I have been very active and done gardening and loads of walking up and down the stairs at work (building has 4 floors)!
Well done to those that have lost/maintained or gained, just for being here for each other is worth giving praise to.
I think we are all great! But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -

yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy - third and final one for £2.99!!!
Three blouses which I know will suit me (I used to own 2 of them a few years back in identical colours!) for less than a tenner plus the postage. Let's hope the seller offers a discount on multiple buys - I emailed her, but haven't heard back.
I am so glad I sat on my 'impulse' yesterday - at one point, I had 2 blouses in my current size costing £50 in my basket on the evans website (whoops) - glad I talked myself into waiting a day!"Stay Wonky":D

Well done on the ebay buys Keren! That's fab! Bet you are glad that you didn't sucumb to the Evans basket! I need to do the same really, this warmer weather has made me realise that I cannot wear my jumpers anymore! But no point in buying new as I am too skint and will probably find some clothes in my wardrobe of a smaller size. Off to sit down with a cup of tea and check out ebay...hopefully I might find some bargins too!:j 'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts' - DFW Nerd member 866 :j0

that's the problem I have. When I started the job 2 months ago, I bought 1 blouse, 1 jumper and 1 jacket and a camisole to do 4 half days.
The jumper and the jacket are wayyyyyyy too heavy. The blouse is fine for now but everything in my wardrobe is a minimum of a stone plus away - I'd have melted in a pool of sweat by then wearing the jacket or jumper!!!
oh dear. The skirt has come out a kind of wine/burgundy colour. No matter, it's a colour I like and 2 of the blouses are a kind of mid-lilac I've bought so fingers crossed they go together!!!! I will improvise instead!"Stay Wonky":D
