Thanks guys
Yes, I am on a red day today.
I don't feel I'm depriving myself. Breakfast is what I would have had if I wasn't on SW, except I would've had semi skimmed milk and no fruit in it. I'd have had a glass of orange juice too.
For lunch I would probably have had a sandwich and a packet of crisps. Maybe a banana and a yogurt.
Dinner was nothing different to what I'd have had on a normal day. We often have a pile of roasted veg. Only I'd have chucked olive oil over it instead of frylight.
I don't feel hungry now but I will have some cheese on toast to use up the (a) and (b) choices I have left. I drink loads of water anyway as that's all I have at work.
What do you suggest I eat more of? I don't really want to eat more yogurts. I'm not a huge yogurt fan anyway. Or fruit but I'm quite pleased I'm eating a lot more of that. I really can't just eat meat or fish for the sake of it. It's not something I ever get the urge to snack on and it's never a massive part of my meals. We don't eat a lot of potatoes or pasta either. I'll often just do veg with meat or substitute sweet potatoes.
I sit down all day in my job. And I have to drive to work as it's too far. Will make a concerted effort to start walking again from tomorrow. I can def notice the difference in my size as my trousers are much baggier round the bum and my love handles seem smaller and I don't feel quite so 'bulgy' around my middle when I'm sitting down.
Yesterday I had a green day and b'fast was the same as today (weetabix, milk, blueberries and raspberries. Lunch was loads of fruit salad and mullerlight again and a couple of light babybel. Dinner was 2 (sw mag) fishcakes (cpl syns?), sw chips and mushy peas, tbsp salad cream (about 2 or 3 syns?). Snacks, I had a calippo (3syns I think), grapes and 2 McV jaffa cakes (5syns). So quite a high syn day for me but I think I ate enough.
Okay, let me have it!

To be honest (and perhaps rather blunt) this isn't a healthy days eating at all, though I realise all could be put right with your dinner
You could have had some protein or carbs with your fruit at breakfast (boiled eggs first or cereal with the fruit or even just a yoghurt with it) it would have been more balanced and would have filled you up for longer.
Your lunch would have provided much more had you had the fridge raiders with a large salad (maybe including some healthy extras like boiled new potatoes).
There's more to eating the Slimming World way, than keeping within the syn allowance. In order to keep yourself healthy and energetic, you need to be eating from all the major food groups every day. This means having your HEs (both A andand having a variety of different foods.
I hope you take this in the way it is intended - I don't mean to be rude, but please do try to eat more healthily and have more variety, otherwise you'll soon get bored and give up.
Actually you might like to look over my other posts where you will see that I do normally eat very healthily, I always have my HE and I try and keep my syns to around 10. It just happens today that I have been rushed off my feet and have had to 'eat on the go'. I found your post pretty bad actually, and I am glad that I have a helpful and supportive consultant to turn to in times of need, as right now you have made me feel that I should walk away from this thread and go back to doing this alone, as I had been since august 07.0 -

Well done on your weight loss journey so far jenny. My friend was a similar weight when she started sw, and has lost over 4 stones. It took a while, but like she said it took a lifetime to put on, so bound to take a while to get off.You will get there.
And to keren

I'm sure she didn't mean it in that way, you have obviously had a really stressful day and eating on the go probably feels like you haven't had time to catch your breath.
Our consultant used to regularly ask us to include more free foods and suggest a more varied diet. We know that you eat well, and it is hard when you get a post which hasn't taken this into account. so don't worry too much, and please keep posting. You have a lot to offer everyone here.

Morning! Hope everyone is okay today? I'm still feeling a bit rough but not quite as bad for knowing I'm not working on Saturday, so I've got 5 lovely days off!
Determined not to have too many syns today - I keep doing really well until the evening, and then slipping up and either having alcohol or whatever unhealthy nibbles hubby is eating right under my nose.
I'm a bit scared about tomorrow - it's Natasha's birthday and there will be party food, cake, lovely drinks, chocolate..... and I will be sitting there with my carrot sticks and my cottage chese. If I'm honest, I KNOW I will cave in, so it's just a case of limiting the damage by filling up on healthy stuff first I think."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -

Hi Snaggles,
would Natasha really know if you put out healthy food, WM sandwiches with ham and tomato, sugar free jelly with yoghurt topping, sugar free drinks. im sure you could with a bit of tweaking make this party a healthy one which will benefit everyone and it could?????? start to teach Natasha about healthy food too, its never too early to learn. i wish i had learned early, i wouldnt be in the state i am now.

well done jinky!!
Snaggles.............aaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwww, I bet it will be a fab party - can't believe she will be 1!!!
I'm going to go for a red day today, I bought a couple of packets of cooked meat to munch on yesterday for snacks. It's hard at work as the 2 people I share an office with just never seem to eat!! I've never seen 1 of them eat anything and the other might occasionally pick on a oatcake type thing or maybe an apple once in a blue moon. I take in a couple of bananas but wouldn't even feel comfortable eating a yoghurt at my desk.
That's probably why they are both really slim though...........ahem........
