Do you really expect us to believe you have to walk the two miles to the post office?

    What ever's that about?

    If I didn't have a car I'd have a 14 mile round trip!

Until the point she abused you in email I'd have said you were been petty-especially as you've said you've been buying quite a lot on ebay so likely have jiffybags kicking around anyway.
But then I believe in karma.......and would have sent it back for postage-in the hope than when I made a mistake in the future my "Paying forward" might mean I got someone helpful when it was MY turn.
Mind you I think throwing the bag away isn't right either

I think the point was that £5 is what the seller charges for p+p. So it seems utterly unreasonable to refuse to pay £5 for it to be sent back. In other words, the seller is overcharging on the postage but thinks it's ok to do so, so why shouldn't the OP do so as well.
  • I cant believe the nerve of that woman!I would definitely report her to ebay and show proof of all the emails sent back and forth. You are well in your rights not to send it back...i wouldnt if it were me so stick to your guns and good luck!:p
  • She can't be that hard up if she has a Radley bag to sell! I bet she sold it for a whole lot more than a fiver!

Had I been the seller, I would have sent you a huge, pre-paid jiffy bag bearing the name and address of the buyer who won the bag (is that possible?). I would have asked you nicely to post it onto the new buyer. I would have refunded you the whole of your own postage and packing costs as a thank you. I would have tried to keep you onside and cooperative and sweet.

The seller will pay a high price for his/her treatment of the innocent party. They will have to refund the new buyer and they will have lost a bag.

    You get what you give.

Just out of interest, as the OP knows who the seller is, have you checked their auctions to see what it sold for?

I'd be interested to see how much she's losing on her sale for the sake of refusing to pay the full fiver postage.... (assuming the bag is genuine)
It's BOUGHT (to Buy), not BROUGHT (to bring) AND you cannot be frauded, only DEfrauded.

Please do not buy animals from a pet store. Visit your local sanctuary or centre and give a good home to an unloved or abandoned animal.
