Ok, we've all had a giggle at her expense and yes she's very rude...but she will be fuming....
This could cause all sorts of problems for her ( and her marital status..when she kills her husband).....ask for the round trip bus fare and postage costs and send it back, in your own time.....
Never put off until tomorrow what you can avoid doing altogether.:D

So what she's fuming, theres no need for the language she used. OP asked for reasonable costs to send it back but the seller wanted to give the OP the exact p+p cost, nothing for her time. Actually first off the seller wanted to pay nothing, she wanted OP to foot the bill.

She was rude from the outset and deserves absolutely no help from the OP what so ever.

Had she been ultra polite and said something like "I'm very sorry but all I can afford to give you is the return costs as I am very hard up, if you buy from me in the future I will discount you £X from your next purchase" then that might have been ok but the OP politely asked for £5 for her time and trouble only to be called a lazy cow. After that followed more abuse and name calling.
IMO she is totally out of order and deserves nothing from the OP.

  • ok where do i start?
you should have pointed out to the seller that postage for the bag is £5.00 as stated in her listing! any codswallop she spouts about it only being £2.22 or something i would then ask for refund from original purchase;) as she is pointing out that she is at fault sending a second bag but was also at fault with the original postage:rotfl:
blaming the husband (or in other threads child, baby, dog, itchy and scratchy)
it's always somebody else's fault never their own
if she wouldn't have got nasty i would have just used the original packaging and stuck it in a post box if it would fit and write her return address on with return to sender and let her pay the fees when it gets to her
now she has got nasty why not list it and use the charity auction so she can see you are not keeping it and all profits will go directly to charity

After she refused to pay the £5 I would have accepted the £2.22, then I would have just wrapped it and stuck it in the post box, letting her pick up the tab for the "no attached postage" at t'other end!
It's BOUGHT (to Buy), not BROUGHT (to bring) AND you cannot be frauded, only DEfrauded.

Please do not buy animals from a pet store. Visit your local sanctuary or centre and give a good home to an unloved or abandoned animal.

I can't believe some people. She has the cheek to charge £5 but calls you lazy because you asked for extra to cover trip to the post office etc. She must think that her time is more valuable than yours. LOL

She should have been grateful that you would have posted it. Were her e-mails threating? If they were I would report her to the police.

Good on you for sticking to your guns. It is nice that you are giving it to charity.

This thread has given me a laugh, OP i think you have been perfectly reasonable and polite. Its always amazing the amount of people who think they can bully you into doing what they want! Well done for sticking to your guns, its their mistake, why should you pay to fix it:confused:

Personally, I'd be tempted to sell it on eBay, then once it's sold post her a link to the advert so she can see how much she lost by being uncivil. You could donate the profits to charity if you don't want to keep it yourself.

    Hi.

    The legal position is:

    1. If you contact the sender and inform them about the goods, they have 30 days from that date to COLLECT them. You do NOT have to do it yourself. For example the sender could ask DHL to pick it up from your house. This would obviously cost more than £5! So you are doing them a favour.
    2. If the seller does not collect with in 30 days of you informing them, the goods are yours
    3. If you do not ask the seller to collect the goods, they are yours after six months
