    She sounds downright rude.

You're right. Stick to your guns and get her to pay the £5 or arrange collection herself. Keep all the emails.
I was a little worried that she could/might make a complaint of theft if you did not send it back but so long as you can show that you have no intention of keeping it and she just has to collect it or pay the costs for return then there is no way she could try to claim theft of item.
I can't beleive she would be so rude to someone when she wants them to do something for her!

She just emailed me - refuses to arrange her own courier & said that if I can't manage a 4 mile walk I must be a lazy cow!!!

I said I am perfectly able to manage a 4 mile walk thank you - but why the hell should I for someone as ungreatful as you!

She lives in Yorkshire, I live in London so she can't come & collect.

What shall I do if she refuses to pay? There was no transaction between us so can she report me to ebay?

I am very tempted to throw the !!!! bag in the bin!

    OMG!!! Some people!

I'd now refuse to send it back to her, even if she sent £50! Tell her if she doesn't collect it you will bin it.
You have no transaction with her so I can't see there is much she can do.

  I'm fuming just had another abusive email about my laziness & unwillingness to help her out as she is very hard up at the moment & obviously as I live in London I have more money than her - !!!!!!!!! London is the most expensive place in the whole country!!!

I have now told her if she wants her bag she can come and collect it within 1 week & if she is as rude to me in person as she is in her emails the bag will be inserted where the sun don't shine! If it isn't collected within a week she will find it at the local council tip:mad:

I'd now ignore but keep anymore abusive emails. I'd send one final email to her saying if she is civil something can be sorted out but if she keeps being abusive you will have no choice but to invlove the Police for harrassment. See if it scares her into shutting up :D

I'd also suggest she directs her behaviour towards her husband who was stupid enough to send the bag to the wrong person in the first place.

stick to £5 because if you go with
    £2.22 paypal will deduct 21p + 3%
    from it when it arrives

    500g is £1.95
    750g is £2.51
    add recorded another 70p
Dont know where this seller gets £2.22
as a total for recorded post

like you say a jiffy bag
big enough could be around 70p+
if its one of those large ones they
    are around £1.49 each
if you recieve £5 you will get 36p
    deducted in paypal fees.

    She just emailed - 2 words - I am a F*****g C**t

Emailed her back told her bag was now being put out for the rubbish tomorrow morning & I am notifing ebay of her abusive emails. If there is any more then I will report her for harresment. Hope this shuts her up!!

I wish I had said I hadn't recived it - but I do try to be honest & fair. However if it happens again I would now be inclined to deny all knowledge. :o - rong I know but I really don't need all this hassle!

    omg how rude !

did she send you the msg though ebay or personal email ?

if it was your email, I would play her at her own game, send one back saying sorry i must have mad a mistake I never received it, if it was through ebay raise a dispute and report her for abusive emails. you can send a copy of the emails to ebay.
