but it wasn't yours to give away = theft
ok the seller was rude but not returning her property is worse.0 -
at the end of the day it is the sellers mistake and they are not being very professional about it, you have every right to tell her to stuff and you have posted the bag in a letter box saying not known at this address in it's original packing, or insist that she pays postage and packing and she out to be more polite!0

its not theft its unsolicited goods, the op took every step to return it to its original owner who decided to decline the offer of collecting it herself,
If it was me i would contact the winning bidder and advise her EXACTLY why she didnt receive her bag

Oh Bah Humbug - Maybe you should shove an "h" on the end of your screen name and then do it, Holier Than Thou Type!

Unsolicited goods doesn't come into it as the OP informed the sender-so they then had 30 days to retrieve the bag so by disposing of the bag before the 30 days were up the OP has now put themselves in the wrong and the sender could sue them through small claims court for the loss.
All a bit of a mess now.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
