Yes I had two store cards governed by GE. The FO and FLA couldn't help with the charges so I had to start court proceedings and it looks like I may have to go the same way for the PPI.

Yes I totally agree hun, now though they have been fined, this should be investigated further in my opinion, as there are so many complaints, just getting a lot damn worse and something should be done........:mad: .

Does any of your GE letters state the FOS at all?
What dates did you take these out?

Sometimes the FOS can also make mistakes, I know of a few which have been re-submitted due to this error of these companies not being covered at that certain time.

Actually you've given me an idea - thanks - think I will get back in touch with FLA again with the info of GE being fined as back up that it should be looked into again. Can't do any harm I suppose.

They mentioned both the FO and FLA and they were taken out in 2003.

Cool hope this helps then hun as I do believe the these complaints should be now all looked at due to all the mis selling.
I would also send them a copy of the story here of them mis selling.;)
Think there is also a clearer on on the FSA website.;)

Maybe the dates do not help your case, but still worth trying to push for this because they do have a shamed name now don't they?;) .

GE MONEY gave me details of the FOS because they are covered by these now but are no help to me. Goes to show that all letters are general fob off letters and do not look at individuals.
Quite looking forward to filing my first court claim for unfair charges.

With my GE MONEY PPI i I mentioned the mis selling and they said that only covered the year they were fined, I wrote back and said did they expect us to believe that for that one year only and not before that they mis sold PPI,

Now that is very misleading GE money state that you can complain to the FOS, that's like giving you permission to do so......:rolleyes: , okay you tried this and they have turned it away.

I do often wonder though like what Marshallka have said many times about the wording of these complaints, such as they will look at these complaints if they are worded to their advantage of getting looked at.

Now I believe GE Money have possibly be mis selling for more than stated, its just only its gone into the media and now named and shamed on that particular year.
More investigations are needed here I think.
