  • Hello,

I had an Egg Loan back in May 2003. I had PPI insurance on this loan which i am unsure if it was paid back to me. I took a top up loan out in December 2003 so only had this loan for 6 months.

I wrote to Egg advising that i didnt think this money was refunded to me when my top up loan was taken out. They have advised that it was. However i am not interily sure that i was given a choice to take this premimum out and certainly was not made aware it was optional.

If i have been partially refunded on my loan previously is it worth persuing?

    Please help.

    Thanks

Send Egg an SAR and this should give you all the information redarding the refund they gave you and how the PPI was sold to you or added.
This costs £10 and they have 40 days to send all information related to your account.

Just to add, not being told it was optional is mis selling so you have a case ,its just good to have the paperwork for backup when they try and get out of it!

    Hi there Stacey

I would get back to them and request a copy of the paperwork, the agreement and a written explanation of the breakdown in this.
Any problem in them not providing this for you, please post back and one of us will get back to you, some may suggest to request a SAR (Subject Access request) which you must pay £10 cheque payment or postal order for, but with this they MUST supply you with everything they have on you, even down to phone calls.

Good luck and they provide you with what you require.;)
