They will have to sort out peoples income and outgoings soon with fast track and then see who really needs it. I think that is it. Too many people are asking for it now. We are all desperate in our own way. I think that the FOS need to get more staff and then people would not have to ask. There is the fault. 6 to 9 months is just too long for anyone to wait for their money choose whether you are rich or poor. In that amount of time a lot of people have probably had to get other loans to tide them over until they get back what they have been deprived of in the first place. I definately think FOS needs more staff.:D Or orders making on firms that are known offenders to automatically pay back their customers. (hence taking away the need for FOS)

AUTOMATIC PAY BACK IS WHAT WE NEED AND THE AUTHORITIES NEED TO GET SOMETHING DONE FOR KNOWN OFFENDERS. LIVERPOOL VICTORIA DID IT.

No-one in their right mind would actually opt for one of these policies if they knew the true cost of them and were offered alternative policies at a quarter of the cost. I think all single premium polices were missold. To have a loan in the first place you are desperate for money. Would anyone want more debt forced upon them. No way.
  • Just registered and after some advice. When I got a loan from Lloyds about 4 years ago the guy suggested heavily that I would not get it unless I took the insurance. When I said I would, he went away to speak to his boss, came back and told me that would be okay. He processed the loan, with full PPI, which was accepted. I want to include this section in my letter:

At the time I did not know it is not allowed to make acceptance for credit dependent on taking out an insurance policy. On reflection it also seems unlikely that 'the boss' your salesman left to speak had any direct influence over the application, if he existed at all.

Not sure if I'm right about a manager of some type having the power to influence the loan. Can anyone give me advice?

    Thanks

Yes I totally agree with you.:D

More staff is what they should have, these should be to also replace the ones on the sick or hols etc - especially or these complaints will just go on forever......

Yes hun, I agree, just like Liverpool Victoria it should all be refunded back automatically, especially being sold these single policies which is of course mis selling and like you also said here marshallka hun, we needed loans at the time but did not expect to have debt forced upon us !!!
    Well said hun.:D ;)

Sorry if I have done this wrongly - my first post

I sent template letters to Lombard going back to October 2007 - Got a letter back saying sorry you dont have a case, sent second letter in Nov and got the same response, I then sent all the paperwork to the FO who sent me regular letters saying due to the amount of cases thay had to deal with then my case was in a queue. I got the last letter from them at the end of June saying they still have the case in the queue and will let me know when it has been assigned to a case worker. I have phone twice since then just to be told the same thing!!! Is anyone else experiencing the same dealy??
    hiya
i am in the same position as you first complained to loanmakers about ppi in sept 07 after a few letters back and forth they said it wasnt missold, so in dec 07 i complained to the fos i sent them everything i had recieved from loanmakers about the misselling they said they would look into it, i got my first response from them in jan 08 saying give them another 4 weeks, i have recieved a letter from them every 4 weeks saying the same awaiting to be passed to an adjudicator the last letter from them was in june, so since then i have phoned every 4 weeks and they just keep saying the same,it is so frustrating

I had taken to ringing and emailing them all the time now i have to say that it does not make a difference. We are all going to have to wait... I think we all should complain to the FOS and ask why they are taking so long. Surely they need more staff. If they are getting more complaints and charge for each complaint then they can pay more staff to deal with them quicker. Helps all round me thinks.

I actually had one complaint passed to an adjudicator and then after two days thrown back as they then said it was not within their jurisdiction.

Now that one really annoyed me hun, you waited all that time to be passed over and after all that they thrown it back !!!!

My first complaint though about the mis selling against Endeavour, I must be honest, it was a matter of just weeks of the letter to confirm they had received it, then I think the next one was that of they could not pass this on for this to get looked at due to the fact these were not covered then  , but if I had to wait many months for this then if this had happened I would have be tamping.......
